Place the HUDPC.swf file in the following directory:

"BioShock Remastered\ContentBaked\pc\FlashMovies"

Make a backup of the original if you want and then overwrite it with this one.

That's it!


FOR THOSE WITH EXISTING HUD MODS

The installation of this mod involves replacing the existing HUDPC.swf file with my modified one. Obviously, if you already have HUD modifications, such as weqrt's "GUI FIxes Pack," this will remove those mods from your game.

For this reason I'm including detailed instructions on how to modify your HUDPC.swf to achieve what I did with the widescreen bars so you can simply make the modifications to your already modified HUDPC.swf file yourself. Don't worry, it's actually very easy, and I am by no means any kind of experienced modder, so if I can figure this stuff out then you should have no trouble.


Step 1: Download JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler.

Step 2: Open the HUDPC.swf file in JPEXS (make a backup copy just in case, if you wish).

Step 3: In the pane on the left expand the Sprites field and press ctrl+F to open the search bar.

Step 4: Type "widescreen" and hit Enter and there will be one line saying "PlaceObject2(chid:292, dpt: 1, nm:WidescreenBars). Click on this.

Step 5: At the bottom of the screen in the middle is a button called "Transform." Click it and look at the pane on the right.

Step 6: In the pane on the right it should say "Horizontal: -147.900" and "Vertical: -116.050." Change these both to 0 and press Apply.

Step 7: Below this change the "Width" from 100 to 0 and the same for "Height." Press Apply

Step 8: Press the Save button at the bottom and then press the Save button in the top left of the screen (to save the whole file).

You're done! Now you should have fullscreen cutscenes as well as any HUD modifications you already had installed.
