Uninstalled it too. The 1 1/2 hr version was the maximum slowdown for me, which is really plenty for my complaints. Then it's 45 mins of daytime, and you get things done, like reading the tech tree, studying yer settlement, prioritising, building groups of people, armour and weapon sets [later], which means time usually goes by so blazingly fast while you're actually just researching or reading something in the menus, which is ludicrous. You're constantly under time pressure and therefore subliminally under negative stress. I used to work through days and nights, using the last real-life minute, i.e. about 2 in-game hours, to sleep and to get the buff, most of the time I don't even get round to that.
So, yeah, the fact that the time progression doesn't even stop in the menus is my biggest gripe. Like most open world games, the day/night cycles are stupidly, immersion breakingly fast [Fallout, Skyrim, Ghost Recon Wildlands, RDR, etc]. But in Bethesda games at least I have a console where I can slow down time ingame and nothing else gets broken [or even the weather for screenshots or to test out how developers do it etc]. I call these frantic time of day changes ‘gamey’, they keep reminding you that you're playing games. That's why I wanted this mod. Unfortunately, after some time of enjoyment, due to the very pleasant but not too much slowdown, it looks like it breaks something anyway, like night at 1am looks like dusk or dawn, but is no longer pitch dark, but way too bright, and NPCs are still walking around way past 7pm when they normally go to sleep. Even they were still working well beyond 10pm, and I know that's not what the designers intended. The cycle normally works differently, and god knows what else will be broken that depends on all the other mechanics that don't seem to work correctly with this mod. I'd rather put up with running around like a lunatic on LSD than have these qualms that something doesn't seem right.
Time acceleration definitely needs to be addressed by the developers. This mod tries, but as always only the developers know their programmes inside out, often not even themselves, and can even fathom which variable is linked to which or to what, and changing one thing at this end can cause a detrimental effect at a distant other end, which modders usually can't keep track of as they don't know all the code. Thanks lads for trying. But I'm back to the vanilla version of the game.
This mod changes nothing about their work cycles, or the time they go to sleep. While yes, it affects a few things, like quests that require you to wait a specific amount of days if you had already started them, or raids/reclamations, everything you have mentioned, is not from this mod in any way. Sorry you are having problems though!
I love the idea of longer days, but having started a new save with just 90 min days I removed it; There's little to do in such a long day at the start - especially day 1 when you just build the 4 buildings or so and have little else to do other than go farm unspoilable materials; The kicker - you can't go to sleep till later in the day - perhaps a little modification there to allow sleep any any time of the day? Not sure if NPCs do any work while sleeping though, so has to come with big caviat
