Fist I want to say thank you, the button prompts show up like they should. But weirdly the sound was working and after installing the mod my sound stopped working. I can't begin to understand why a button prompt mod would kill my sound for this game, but it's the only change, and my sound still works for everything else. I've restarted the computer and waited a few days and tried again.
So I'm not complaining, or anything of the sort, but wondering if you can think of a reason this mod might have broken sound for this game, somehow, something I could have some how done that would have caused it?
Edit: I went into sound options and chose default and that fixed my sound. So weird the sound decided to stop working as soon as I installed this mod, and just to be clear, I'm not blaming the mod, or complaining, I'm very happy to have this mod, thank you!
Is it possible to get an alternate version with Circle and Triangle swapped? I play with those controls and it would be good to have the correct prompts in game (even if their position in the face button pattern is wrong). Only need English.
I am not sure what the problem is but this mod shouldn't disable or do anything to the game's actual input code. did you install any other mod apart from this one that changes something with the game's executable file ? also can you check if your steam application recognizes your controller without this mod installed ?
Thank you for this! AMAZING job! I never played with Xbox and I never remember what button is which. That being said I use reshade with Bayonetta and I found a nice combination of filters but the TRIANGLE button looks blue. Can you fix it by making it greener? Or just teach me how to do it :)
Options button needs to be "Pause Menu" button instead of "game menu" according to the PS3 version of the game which Start button is "Pause Menu" button in that version. I think you just need to change touchpad and options button prompts. Other than that, it's a great mod. Thanks.
This is my only nitpick. I wish the Options and Touchpad buttons were swapped to match what they are in game since I think that feels more natural. But other than that, great mod.
I made this mod with the aim that it should match the PS4 version's button mappings as much as possible.
In an early test build of this mod, I had the Options button mapped to the Pause menu and the Touchpad to the Game Menu. then I later found out how the button mappings are in the PS4 version and switched the icons accordingly to match that version. but this unfortunately would not match with the PS3 version or the layout that the PC version ships by default. since I played this game with this modded button icons, I kinda got used to it. I cannot say others to also get used to it as they may be used to the old layout.
Maybe I will consider making a version of this mod with Options and Touchpad button icons swapped
I am currently busy with other commitments and it will take a while for me to get back to this game. hopefully I will be able to make such a version myself but if someone else is interested in making one on their own, then go ahead by all means. you have my full permission to use my mod's texture files in your mod or I can provide you the higher resolution source images that I used by which you can make a much better looking version
Thanks. Mod works perfectly! If it's not too much to ask, can you please do a mod for Switch Pro button prompts. I tried using Steam input to flip the controls. However, the buttons can't be rebound in-game to account for the buttons being flipped.
I would have loved to make this mod myself but currently I am a bit busy and probably won't be modding this game.
You could request someone interested in the bayonetta modding discord server to make this mod and if someone is interested, then they can easily do this mod by using this game's switch version button files.
Or
If you want to make this mod yourself, then you can start by reading the Texture modding guide that I had linked on my reply to BluDJ's comment here. Once you understand the basic file editing from the guide, get this game's switch version files, extract the rom files and use GIMP or photoshop software to edit the textures. You can refer to the idd files that my mod uses to locate the necessary files to use and modify.
