I am primarily look for information on whether or not players can get past the conversation scene ending in the following quote:
Alright, let's get ready to rumble. Sumire, make whatever arrangements you need.
Everybody else, I expect to see you on the Hysteria.
If you can get past this conversation, let me know if the game freezes at any point afterwards. If it gets stuck in a conversation, I would appreciate a screencap, video, or GIF/WEBM of the last line to help identify the conversation.
Just a suggestion. Change to system for the flashpoint to portland (same type of genome) instead of appian as appian is also used by the Heavy Metal mini campaign.
+1 on this. It can trash your HM campaign otherwise. I'm trying to figure out how to re-fire it, as I have the Bull Shark parts, but the event for the next flashpoint fired while it this mods flashpoint was still active. So no Bull shark unless I can re-fire the follow up on lead event somehow.

Other than this issue, the flashpoint is fun. The final battle is a good challenge.
Could you post a screencap of the dialogue right before that freeze? That would help me figure out if there's a problem in the conversation or the milestone list.
I'm getting the same bug here. Its after the first mission for me. Loot choice after mission is fine, but when it goes to the dialog on board the Argo with Lord Madeira it hang after all the dialogue is over. Just shows everyone on the bridge of the Argo but after clicking the last dialogue option box (where it says everyone will meet on the Hysteria) nothing appears to click on and it doesnt move on to whatever is next.
Let me know if the flashpoint works after the following steps:
Replace existing flashpoint files with updated 0.9.8-beta version files
Deleting saves after the intro conversation (the one where you accept the flashpoint)
This may be a case of save corruption or a larger issue with either ModTek or the Flashpoint system, so any information you can provide after taking these steps is valuable.
You might want to consider making an extra folder at the "top level" in your zip file. So instead of extracting everything into a Folder I need to create under mods, I could just extract it directly to my mods folder.
It just seems like an unnecessary step, and different from most of the other mods I've downloaded.
This sounds great, but when trying to load my existing career and when trying to start a new career with no other mods the result is the same; infinite loading. Honestly I don't think I've ever seen the spinner move that fast before.
