This mod adds a new item called Salvage Ferro Plate to the game. It is rare so it can only be found at planets with a former SLDF presence or the Black Market. The closest analogue in tabletop BATTLETECH is patchwork materials.
Equipment Details
Salvage ferro plate takes up one slot and reduces the weight of the mech by 0.2 tons.
The number of pieces of salvage ferro plate that can be installed on a single mech varies with the mech's tonnage:
- 20t - 3 pieces
- 25t to 30t - 4 pieces
- 35t - 5 pieces
- 40t - 6 pieces
- 45t to 50t - 7 pieces
- 55t - 8 pieces
- 60t to 65t - 9 pieces
- 70t to 75t - 10 pieces
- 80t - 11 pieces
- 85t to 90t - 12 pieces
- 95t - 13 pieces
- 100t - 14 pieces
Mechs from 20t to 50t can install only one piece per location maximum. Mechs from 55t to 100t can install two pieces per location. Salvage ferro plate cannot be installed in the head location.
Mechs that already have ferro-fibrous armor cannot use salvage ferro plate. Using sarna.net as a source, all mechs can use salvage ferro plate with the following exceptions:
- Atlas SLDF variant
- all Crab variants
- Griffin SLDF variant
- all Highlander variants
- King Crab
- Marauder SLDF variant
- Warhammer SLDF variant
- Zeus SLDF variant
