This mod is the standalone AI overhaul pulled out of my main Classic Battle Tech Overhaul mod (linked on main mod page).

You DO NOT need this mod if you are using my main balance mod, it is only for those who DO NOT want the weapons and mechs balance from my other mod.

This mod may or may not have made one of my missions not finish properly when the AI Allied lance refused to move to where it was supposed to....Could of course just be a vanilla bug I have no idea. Just reporting this, also wasn't sure what the mod even actually did during my playthrough...the enemies just acted like the default back stabbing morons from vanilla most of the time, I did notice they would hide in woods more often but that was it. Would LOVE to see an AI mod that stops them from gangbanging one mech and blindly going for back shots or punches whilst leaving their own backs exposed, which for me is the main flaw of the game. This is mostly a Vanilla problem I'm talking about btw, I'm just saying I didn't notice a lot of change with this mod. Pretty sure it was working as well. Just wish someone would address the obvious flaw thats been in the game forever with the suicidal backstabbing.

Makes 'The Prototype IV' Flash Point mission impossible without cheesing.

The AI now reserves until your ECM stealth is up then destroys your fixed lance with LRMs. The gimmick mech you are given to do this Flashpoint is nullified and completely countered by this AI overhaul

Isn't this the vanilla behavior? In the un-modded game the only time the AI is taught to Reserve Turns is if you are using an ECM mech.

During Prototype IV in the original game the AI will reserve down until the end if you try to sit them out.

Hmm, this sounds really cool but will it work with BTA? Mainly wary of it screwing with AI functions they might have added for new equipment.

They seem to already use something, considering the AI does reserve, unless I've misunderstood that change.

Getting proper focus fire from enemies now, thanks for making me lose those mech limbs. :)

Yeah, I can't even play the base game anymore after always have been playing with my mod.

The main mod this comes from also adds in the "It's Over Anakin! I have the high ground!"
So Mechs perched atop of a hill will have a buff to their chance to hit vs a mech that is at the bottom climbing its way up to them.

Assuming you added that documentation to the Global.json. I wanted to say thank you it will help me if I need to make some tweaks at some point.  There are so many variables that just aren't self-explanatory enough in this game, and HBS seems to have removed programmer comments on at least the json files. not sure about dlls.

I kickstarted this game so I had early version I made my main mod for and could tell what functions did what. I think when new updates that came out broke it I would just check the code for changes and than copy pasta them over. So my mod should still have a lot of the dev comments listed still in the AI file. If it doesn't for some reason grab an older version of my main Balance mod and look in their since this sub mod is part of that mod.
