On the first dialog box "Let's take a look at the licenses", it doesnt do anything when i click. I can't move on to the next selections. I tried the older versions of the mod and when i click "let's take a look at the licenses" it moves to the next screen but there are no options to select. Is BTX been updated and the mod doesnt work anymore or the same for modtek? I'm using the latest BTX and modtek 8.0 . Any help would be appreciated.
I had the same problem with the newest BEX release. Spent all weekend trying to troubleshoot.
Finally got it to work today. Make sure you copy over the ExtendedConversations mod included in the download or download it from https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/293? which prevents the dialogue from freezing.
There are other mod edits you'll need to make since the new, larger scope of BEX makes copying the .json files from the Solaris mod incompatible. Do not copy the two .jsons in the BT_Extended_Timeline folder over. I recommend making the following edits to the existing BEX 1.9.2.1 files instead.
1) To make Solaris 7 a legit faction, you have to manually add it into the "\BT_Extended_Timeline\enums\Faction.json" BEX 1.9.2.1 has added factions and used the id that Solaris 7 originally had. I added this to the new Faction.json:
There is probably a more elegant way to do it, but this worked for now.
2) The "\BT_Extended_Timeline\mod.json" has also been updated. Under FactionTags add:
"Solaris7" : "planet_faction_solaris7"
I have yet to play through everything to verify it works, but so far, so good.
I apologize in advance if posting this violates any kind of modder "standards and practices" (editing others code, etc). However, I literally spent 20 hours trying to get this to work and posted in the hope it would save others similar hassle.
Thank you so much RotorRift! Works like a charm! I really appreciate you taking the time to help out! It's gonna be useful for alot of people who likes this mod!!
Thank you for posting your solution. If I make the edits you describe I get an error after starting the game, saying the Mod BT_extended_Timeline failed to load. Do you happen to have any ideas how to fix that. I would love to finally take part in the solaris championships :)
Unbelievable that this super handy piece of troubleshooting has resulting in zero kudos. Thank you for the helpful work in making this mod work. Good Going/
If I don't buy the license at the start of the game, how can I acquire it later on? Does the season take a fixed amount of time (and I get the event again when it ends)?
I passed the a light weight championship. 90% of mechs were killed in 1 turn by my firestarter with 250+ damage. We need to do something with the balance. It is necessary to limit the weight for the player to 25 tons, give the opponents full armor, the weight of their mechs is 30 - 35 tons, give the weapon ++. Make enemies melee builds from 150 damage. These are all my thoughts on this mod so far.
i finish almost 10+ duels on S7 and they all on same desert map with fixed start points, is this normal? 2nd thing, S7 also generate basic missions like battle/assassinate etc, they look like bugged, on mission start i can set full 4 lance, but drop only one 1st mech
- re all duels on the same map:: unfortunately, this is the current limitation of adding them through a conversation (There is a way to circumvent this in the mod but it will require changing more core files of the BEX mod) - re base missions - there shouldn't be anything like that, I will take a look

I did RotorRift's suggestion and the Solaris 7 faction appears in the reputation screen.
When the opportunity shows up to buy licences, Darius says, "These are the licences available for us to acquire."
But the only response I see on screen are, "I have changed my mind, we won't participate."
Mod broken for this BEX version?
Thanks!

BEX 1.9.2.1 has added factions and used the id that Solaris 7 originally had. I added this to the new Faction.json:
{
"ID" : 777,
"Name" : "Solaris7",
"FriendlyName" : "Solaris7",
"Description" : "",
"FactionDefID" : "faction_Solaris7",
"IsRealFaction" : true,
"IsGreatHouse" : false,
"IsClan" : false,
"IsMercenary" : false,
"IsPirate" : false,
"DoesGainReputation" : true,
"CanAlly" : false,
"IsProceduralContractFaction" : true,
"IsPossibleNeutralToAllFaction" : true,
"IsPossibleHostileToAllFaction" : true,
"IsPossibleAllyFallbackFaction" : true,
"IsCareerScoringFaction" : true,
"IsCareerIgnoredContractTarget" : false,
"IsCareerStartingDisplayFaction" : true,
"IsStoryStartingDisplayFaction" : true,
"HasAIBehaviorVariableScope" : false
}
There is probably a more elegant way to do it, but this worked for now.

It should look like this in the mod.json file
"Andurien" : "planet_faction_andurien",
"Solaris7" : "planet_faction_solaris7"
},
Note Adurien has a comma after it but Solaris7 doesn't.
Similarly check your comma and brackets in the Faction.json enum file.
I suggest creating a open championship accepting any mech. And seeding the opfor only custom mechs with ++ weapons and near max armor.
This way even if it spawn a light, won´t be much less of a challenge than when we get something like a stock Zeus in assault championship.
Quick question: I want to play your other FPs too! Do i need to start other career or they´ll spawn eventually on a career with this mod?
Thanks!

can this mod confront with new mission control?after i update MC to 1.1.2, all solo/duo duels lead to infinity load
Just curious about when or how we get invited to the light championship.
Got my reputation into liked and got nothing.
