Looking for the mod, seems the files are deleted? I am starting to learn modding and want to start with this one, and have it work with an online map for basic Battetech play. Not into the difficulty of RT, so looking for a realaxing mod to enjoy for an hour or so a day. Seems like flashpoints is a better way to go. SO, anyone know where I can download this mod at? Please and thank you!
Sorry that no-one got back to you on this. If you haven't worked it out yet, the flashpoint comes bundled with BEX 3025 for the time being. Hell, you might be able to make something of it and help to fix the clan star issue, or better yet, make the campaign more immersive than it is now.
Hello Ablomis. I was watching HBFT Gaming play this flashpoint on his Battletech Extended 3025 Commanders Edition Twitch stream last night. Is there a reason behind why clans are dropping 4 mech lances instead of 5 mech stars? BEXCE's built in clan missions have stars so just seeing lances seem to drop down the difficulty from regular BEXCE considerably. Anyway, thanks for making this. I'm looking forward to playing it.
Hi ServerCold, Good question. The mod allowing deployment of extended lances is Mission Control (MC) and the current version does NOT support flashpoints. Flashpoint support will be enabled in MC 1.1, which is expected in the next 1-2 months. After that I will update the flashpoint to support extended Clan lances and allies.
I'd say the difficulty also depends a lot on what mechs you are brining in. If you deploy 4 Clan assaults, it won't be too hard. If you deploy IS heavies mixed with assaults - it should be not too easy.
I didn't want to force players into certain difficulty by limiting drop tonnage or else. But probably I will reduce the amount of salvage granted.
The current version of MC and Bigger Drops that ships with BEx does work with Flashpoints, as long as you change the switches in the .json in each mod that is set to prohibit the increased lance sizes.
At least it allows for drops of up to 8 mechs in the FPs that ship with the various DLCs. I haven't tested the settings for 5 mech clan stars, but since it works in regular missions fine, I would guess that would work for the FPs as well, once the prohibitions are removed.
Sooo... it's been almost five years. I assume you've abandoned the mod, since we've had no updates on clan stars or anything else brought up in this forum for that matter?
I have put so many hours into this FP trying to navigate the choices so I don't get the soft-lock looking at Darius' face. It's like one of those choose your own adventure books where every selection leads to failure except one....sigh.
For those that have problems getting out of the infinite decision loop. Sadly the implementation of this mod is not properly done.
You have to choose to opt out and then choose who you will fight next after you have rested up and re armed. Completely retarded implementation but thats how it works.
When doing the pre-mission choice, when I select to bow out to rest and refit, it brings me right back onto the bridge for another choice. I'm not allowed to go to the Argo screen.
Got it now. One of the downsides of doing these consecutive deployments is that for a game that freezes so often, an every mission post-save is crucial, and you can't get that with this flashpoint. The only autosaves are happening after you bow out to refit. That means your game only saves every 3-6 (or whatever) missions, and that's a huge risk. I've had to repeat a few missions several times.
Also, the Ghost Bear mission to recapture the city locks up on me every time at the Dropship screen. I've restarted, restarted PC, gone back and tried different decisions prior, but everytime I select that mission it locks up.
Thanks for the most useless and pointless explaination in the whole modding community. If you cant be bothered properly implementing a mod why not at least providing a proper documentation how stuff is supposed to work?
The Ghost Bear missions all crash my game. I am struggling to get through this flashpoint, because as others have said, not being able to save between missions is rough. I've replayed the same four missions five times, and always get bonked at Ghost Bear, so I have to skip them all.

The mod is unplayable.
constant crashes, and since it is doing the whole thing as consecutive deployments there is no save point.
It would be so cool if somebody with a brain that actually has some modding/coding skills could take this up and finish it?
