Actually writing a proper description now.
Rebalance of BattleTech based around a long-running Play by Post version of the TT by a Something Awful forums user PopTarts Ninja, which has since generated it's own rebalanced ruleset to deal with BT's core rules being kind of 80's.
Main Changes include
- Properly functional U/AC's. Firing in ultra or single, loading different ammunition types. Currently have Tracer, Incendiary, AP, and LBX Buck rounds.
- Properly functional LRMs, ATMs, and SRMs. Switchable ammunition, with variable ranging data. Streak, Inferno, HE missiles for SRMs, ATMs have Short/Medium/Long with the appropriate damage and range, and Infernos as well. LRMs have no variants right now.
- Everything has more or less had it's Size and Tonnage tweaked.
- LRM's fire in 2/4/6 missiles, like SRMs now, and deal massive damage for it.
- Lasers are bulkier, heavier, hotter, and much more powerful for it now. Lasers are more interesting than just taping a bunch of Medium Lasers to something.
- Standard Heat Sinks sink 6 heat instead of 3.
- Adds more weapons, including ClanTech. ATM's, LAMS, RAC's, Burst Gauss Rifles, Heavy Lasers, etc.
- Armor Upgrades exist in all shops, and are very cheap. Provide 20% defense vs Ballistic/Missile/Energy weapon damage. Stacks with Guarded/Cover/Bulwark. Intended for a single weapon type, but currently you can equip multiple for testing reasons.
