Description:
This is an image pack, 300+ images, inspired by anime-themed militaria art. This is NOT a standalone mod for BattleTech- just a portrait pack that you can use for BattleTech. You'll still need some method or mod to get these to work in game.
Most are 256x256, but if the art was large enough some are 512x512. Both sizes will work. All images have a transparent background to better tell when using called shots or other special abilities.
There are many mods and ways to get custom portraits to work for your pilots, so do what is most comfortable to you, the below install instructions are what have worked for me.
How to Install:
0) Have BattleTech Downloaded and Installed
1) Install ModTek:

2) Install Commander Portrait Loader

3) Download BattleTech Save Editor
https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/408
4) Download this portrait pack
5) Copy and Paste the Portraits folder from this pack into the folder \Mods\CommanderPortraitLoader
6) You have to use the Save Editor, load your save file, scan your main BattleTech folder. From there, you can go to the Pilots tab in the Save Editor and at the bottom, there is a checkbox for Custom Portrait. Check that box and copy the name of the portrait (from the Commander Portrait Loader mod's Portraits folder) into the space provided.
For example, if I wanted to use mak102.png as a portrait for my commander or another member of my lance, I would put in the space provided "mak102" without quotes.
7) Save your changes, load up that save in BattleTech, and you should be good to go!
These were made for myself, but I also wanted to share for those who like a similar aesthetic. If it's not your thing or doesn't fit your vision of BattleTech, don't stress yourself out and move on- there's plenty of higher quality mods out there to download and install.
