Well thanks to the mod Fell Off The Cargo Ship I have managed to test the Raven 00.
Well... I think I can quote Tex from the Black Pants Legion : "This mech is a beast, a monster [...] of the battlefield".
Even if there is no ballistic slot, there is enough free tonnage to experiment a bit and there room to some very very fun builds.
an example : 1xCOIL-M, 2xML,1xSRM2 with one ton of ammo, some 2 to 3 heat sinks, the rest in armor and you can fight mech well above its 35 tons weight. That's just one build and I'm sure there are other build for this 35 tons murder machine. Very fun mech to play with.
Thank you, sorry about the urban warfare condition, never saw your comment before now (I blame Nexus' notification system). Glad you got to enjoy it with the COIL. I consider it one of the very limited number of light mechs you can take on higher difficulty missions and not feel like you're handicapping yourself !
I'll have to look at the condition dependency at some point but frankly I'm not sure it would make sense lore-wise as it would be an offshoot of the prototype you get in-game.

For the condition I found another work around a mod that allow to explore the region and play the flash point at the point you recover the argo, so no problem.
And yeah quite the little murder machine. bringing down assault mech with backstabbing coil shot had me laught a few time ^^ have to try an all Raven 00 campaign one of theses days might be fun.
the only weakness is that left arm left completly unexploited and that 's a bit of a let down (but that's the work of HBS so not fault to you), having weapon hardpoint in it might have allow to spread a bit more the weapon loadout.
Still a very good and very fun mod. Once again well done Sir and Thank you :)
Well I know it's been a while since you published the mod but I have a question : is here a way to untie the appearance of the variant from urban warfare flashpoint ? have the variant appear in very early game without the urban warfare condition fulfilled ?
You see when I arrive at the flashpoint all the mission are way too high of a rating to even spawn a light mech. I really would like to use this variant but if I can't buy it and if it don't spawn.... well....
I've tried to make this mod work about 10 different ways. It doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but there are no instructions here, so I surely' can't tell.
Using ModTek seem to work. I've seen it spawn in an allied lance during some flashpoint (still have to spawn in ennemy lance by the way), but it doesn't spawn in enemy lance. too high of a merc rating i think.
How? HOW? How to install your mod? :D Why do authors always think that all users are professional and put dozens of mods a day with their eyes closed?.. Why can’t you make a short installation guide and save people from writing such things?.. I really need this mod, but with mods in this game complete confusion - something is put in such a way, something else. One thing is written here, another there. And instal HOW??? :D
