On some 5 star maps they sometimes send 8 fully armored assault mechs at you, thats why i didnt want to have a tonnage limit on those maps. But if it can't be separate, it's fine. No problem, thanks anyways.
This would be nice... 180 ton for a light loadout... too bad your best bet is to bring the heaviest mechs, 3 mediums and 1 light mech, or thereabouts... unlike the picture shows, as in it, were there the possibility to bring more mechs, you could bring in the whole 5 mechs compliment, including the one mech left on the beach in the picture. And the 320 tons could work well, with 16*20 ton mechs, as you could probably run and outflank the enemy and take them out with delayed and first strikes, when coordinated correctly.. with 16 light mechs... but the max of 4 mechs kinda ruins that whole bit. Yes, gathering and maintaining those multiple light mechs that can explode at any minute would be part of the game challenge.
Increasing the number of 'Mechs you can bring to battle involves too many changes to the base game. This mod was made because someone in the official forums requested and it was easy to make.

Is it possible to adjust it so that 5 star missions don't have a tonnage limit?
It's impossible to make 5 star missions without tonnage limits. But I can adjust the upper tonnage limit.
