Doesn't much look like a Warhammer, really. Is this some twisted clan version? Where's the iconic searchlight? The missile pod? The PPC arms without all those extra pieces?

apparently you are not familiar with mechwarrior online.
to avoid issues with harmony gold lawsuits they redid the style of all battlemechs.

HBS Battletech uses those same art assets for their mechs.
so modders who wish to add mech to the HBS game port over MWO mechs that HBS hasnt gotten around to are didnt want.

currently you can (i believe) via mods get every mech in mwo into hbs bt.

and if ya dont like it dont use it.
or shut your pie hole and make your own.

This really is an interesting mech design. Many thanks to the creator(s).

However, for some old timers who were brought up on the old FASA box sets, this just isn't a Warhammer.
That old iconic Macross Tomahawk design is what first pulled myself (and, I suspect, many others) in, and I still think its one of the best looking designs.
I'm hoping that now that the 'unseen' situation with HG has been resolved, that we might see some of the original (I'm looking at you, Rifleman) designs start to emerge.
Once again, no disrespect and many thanks to the creator here, but nostalgia can be a powerful force.

Do the shoulders open up for rockets like the regular one? I'm assuming that's too much of a hassle to write that in, requires animation work.

Downloaded vanilla version...can see it in the mech bay and can refit it. But when i try to get a mission started i get stuck on infinite loading in dropship screen. Mission never starts. Using BPF...though i think its outdated. Im playing on latest game version with all dlcs installed.

1.6 fucks with assetbundles, wait for me to update my bundles, though perffix should be a workaround

dammit... was hoping for a different answer there... sorry been skimming around looking for more information - the performance fix now seems to not want to load as of 1.6.2.

Just a heads up, newest versions of mechengineer (1.1.5 as of writing) added more head and leg components. The new autofixer in ME fixed most of the issues with other ME versions of mech mods, but it seems like the ME version of this mod may need a bit of extra tweaking to get working again, as they are all missing around 2-4 slots in the head and aren't fieldable stock due to this.

There is a quick way to fix most or all mod Mechs with this particular issue for the time being that does not involve editing every single ChassisDef.

It is possible to include options in MechEngineer's settings.json to adjust the component slots to the amount required by ME 1.1+.
XLRP 1.3 for example includes a file with these presets in a folder named "XLRP MechEngineer settings" which you only need to copy over the existing settings.json. No need to use any other of the XLRP files if you don't want to - and it should pretty much fix all affected Mechs, at least for the time being.

Great Mech, thanks for putting it in the game. Should have been one of the ones from the start if you ask me.

Hey..My warhammer is now an invalid mech. It has two FCS slots in the head. How the heck do I fix that? I'm guessing the bug happened with the recent patch or something?

Since I'm not the json guy, I'm too lazy to do that, also I'm atm working on the Warhammer IIC.

But if you want, you can download SolahmaJoe's vanilla files, replace my chassisdefs (Warhammer/chassis) and mechdefs (Warhammer/mech) with his.
Then open the chassisdefs and replace ANY reference to "chrprfmech_warhammerhotd-001" with "chrprfmech_warhammerbase-001"
