    Hello,

    I'm sorry to bother, but I seem to have a problem.I hope you can help me. I downloaded your all in one mod, and some of it works like the 9 million and such,but some (shown by the ModTek log) won't load. Can you tell me how to fix by chance?All I have is your mod, Modtek and BTML

      I had the same problem, but managed to fix it by going into each mods .json file and fixing the type.
      Gear should be 'UpgradeDef
      Weapon should be WeaponDef
      starsystemdef should be StarSystemDef
      the capitilization is important.
      I removed the faster vehicles because things were fast enough for me using the speed up combat options ingame.

      Got it to work. I changed the file mod.json and edit the line were it says gear and changed it to HeatSinkDef and every thing else worked as intended. No other changes are needed.

    It seems this mod won't work if Roguetech is installed. Huge bummer.

      i'm sorry that its not working for you i'm not currently working on or playing this mod and game ATM there is just so many other games i am interested in that i find myself no longer interested in this game at the moment. i hope there will be more story DLC or interesting content provided to rekindle my interest in keeping up with the game.

    completely clean install of Battletech, following the instructions in the two videos.I have newest BTML (6.4), newest modtek (4.2), this is the only mod i have installed. I do the injection, start new game....and I sit at the very first prepping for combat screen indefinitely. I let it sit for 30 minutes with no change. Vanilla game works fine. any ideas?

      actually yes inside your Steam\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\Mods\.modtek folder there is a text file ModTech.log in there should describe what is the hang up could you post the contents? or the file?

      ok so after digging though this and comparing to my own witch is working atm. there is a diffrence here witch is Loading BattletechPerformanceFix
      Using BTML to load dll BattletechPerformanceFix.dll with entry path BattletechPerformanceFix.Control.Start what ever this is its not part of this mod. i would recommend removeing BattletechPerformanceFix and trying the game out from there. so next step is your game uploading its saves to the cloud? have you made changes to the games main files? here is another odd one have you tried running the game more than one time? the reason this one is odd is because for whatever reason the game first launchs it tends to under preform or just s*** the bed then without any changes running the game a second or third time the game corrects itself and works just fine. so try running the game a few times first. then go into more trouble shooting check if cloud saves are enabled. next if problems are still there did you edit a cvs file if so don't the cvs files being edited causes the game to not work.

    Not having any luck getting this to work... reinstalled game (Steam Version), Installed Mod Loader (injected it), Put Modtek (DLL and resources) into the Battletech/Mods folder. When i launch the game i get a Modtek (v0.4.0) screen that pops up. I put the folders into the Battletech/Mods folder such that all of them contain their respective Mod.json file and nothing happens. I don't get any extra money, i don't see cheap mechs... not sure what is going on.

      i believe there is an issue with mod loaders/mod managers and this mod i recommend trying to get it to work manually never touching a mod manager

    just tested with 1.31 and it works fine, even if you use it mid campaign, all the items show up at the two planets.

    problem though...

    you have all the gauss rifles... but no ammo for them.could you add gauss ammo to the list?

      yeah cant add it directly to the store but ammo is on the highlander so you can get it still. the way i got it into the store is by haveing the planet look at the itemcollections which are all .csv format not .json when i try to edit the .csv files it causes either a crash or infinite loading screen

      csv files have binary inclusions IIRC. you need a csv converter/editor.

      SOLUTION FOUND!!

      to get gauss ammo for sale at every store:

      open:

      itemCollection_Ammo_all.csv

      in the item collections folder.

      add this line to the end of the list of items you see there:

      Ammo_AmmunitionBox_Generic_GAUSS,AmmunitionBox,0,10

      and voila! gauss ammo is now for sale at all the stores in the galaxy.

      you can just use notepad ++ to edit those csv files with no problem.

      Now I'm working to try to add the missing rare mechs to the store (the lostech atlas and black knight).

      ....and that's done too. so the two missing lostech mechs are now in the store. if you ever get around to updating your mod, msg me and I'll tell you how to fix it.

      Hmm. Any attempt to modify the .csv leads to the dreaded endless loading loop. I'm using notepad++, have tried just adding the extra line(file opens with a blank space at line 2) as well as deleting the blank space at line 2. Both result in endless loading. Suggestions?

      Turns out I had to go back and erase all but my most recent save, then it worked like a charm.

      that's everything I did.

      I see gauss ammo for sale on every planet now, for 55k per.

      I'm guessing similar changes have to be made for each item you want to add to a shop file directly before you can edit the related itemcollection csv file and not have it spin when loading.

      it's probably saying: "Hey, yeah, OK, i see you want me to load gauss ammo into this collection... but I've now got no proper place to PUT this collection!"

      the only problem i have with changing the csv files is that each person has to edit thier own game files like this not DL a mod to get it working. and when you do edit your game files. if you then change them again it can cause infinite load screen issue. then gotta do the clean uninstall reinstall. if i set it up so modtek does its thing the game gets in infinite load screen. so not sure where to go from here. but the hunchback has gauss ammo on it.

      but, even if done manually, all you have to do is make backups.

      I guaranfuckingtee there is no infinite loading screen with this. I have tested it through an entire career and halfway through the campaign (again).

      no issues whatsoever.

      I was just putting this here for you to fix your own mod, just to be helpful mostly, but if you don't even want to I guess I'll just have to make a mod of it myself.

      I'm sure people will just want the simple fix that lets them have gauss ammo wherever other ammo is sold.

    Cant seem to get this mod to work at all.

    Installed using mod manager and i get the modtek on the menu screen but not showing 4.2 but V2 i think. Tried loading old saves and starting new games but nope i get no starting 9mil no extra slots on the mech and no 99 tech peeps to help on the mech building.

    Wish workshop was added to the game cos modding this way is a pain the the rear.

    It's still not working for me. I tried a complete clean re-install using the 2 video tutorials on how to do it. I have the latest stable versions of btml and modtek. /Modtek is in the bottom left. Not sure why it's not working but I'm getting really tired of playing the first mission using skip intro. I'd go insane if that option wasn't available lol
    Any suggestions?

    I downloaded all-in-one and deleted the folder for faster vehicles, but when I went into my game I found a bunch of oddly arbitrary changes to the weight and size of certain weapons. My gauss rifles, AC20+++'s (not AC20's or any other AC's), ER and Pulse lasers and Large laser+++'s, LRM15's and 20's (not 5's or 10's or 20++), and SRM6's (not 2's or 4's or certain 6++'s) now all weigh 1 ton and take up 1 slot. My Heat Sink (D)'s now weigh nothing, take up one slot, and claim to vent heat at 30/turn and reduce heat generation by 70%.
    All my mechs now show 1 pip of heat efficiency regardless of what I put on or take off.
    This is not what I was expecting. I'm not sure what went wrong. I'm really mostly interested in the zeroed base weight and access to the lostech in the stores. What can I do to fix this?

      if you open each weapons json file in the mod folder the author has elected to make all of the weapons 1 ton 1 crit as well as cheap and purchasable. if you don't want the cheat weight you can change the values yourself back to what they are supposed to be manually.

      ok so fear not you can fix this by just deleting some files no need to download anything if your useing modtek. if you don't want the weapon changes just delete the LosTechWep folder and its contents. ez. want to undo the heat sink D changes delete the folder HeatsinkD ez. the guns and heatsinks will still be in the two shops so no worries. they will be at their original price, weight, inventory size and price. as far as mechs only showing 1 pip of heat efficency is that with the heatsink D s on the mechs? if so ignore it the heatsinks Ds modded will make it so you don't get heat build up. if its not the heat sink D s i'm not sure what the problem could be. if all you wanted was the zeroed base wight and the loss tech in the shop the only files you'll need are LosTechInStartingShop and the allmechsbuffed which unzips to the MoreWeapons file. you can find these in the files section if you scroll down. *edit* i just put up a file where the initial tonnage of all mechs are changed to 0 with no other changes its not in the all in one must be downloaded seperately

      @storm0545 thank you for your input i'd like to point out that i did not change the weapons in anyway besides the price, tonnage and inventory size the rest is all the original weapons stats keep in mind that these weapons are LosTec and are + , ++ , +++ varieties.

      That works! Though it looks like the Cyclops CP-10-Z was not on your list of modified mechs. Any chance you could find a way to make that mech's battle computer movable to other mechs? And preferably center torso mountable? <blinks hopefully>

    When I started a new campaign, it won't let me complete the objectives. On the Argo mission I can destroy the radar towers but it won't show the objectives as complete. Also, when I destroy turret generator the turrets don't explode. Any ideas?

      i'm not sure when i played thought it progressed as normal i am currently past the mission where you find the Starleauge base on the ice world with the AllinOne version. what mods are you useing? and what part(s) of this mod are you useing? are you useing modtek and BTML? if so what version?
