    Is there a way to add the heavy metal mechs to the mod folder?

    I would strongly suggest using Chassis Editor to personally edit your hardpoints.
    And to edit hardpoints on all DLC mechs (ie: the chassisdef is in a unity asset bundle) this post? on reddit goes into great detail.

    This has been my favorite mod for Battletech.  However, it just suddenly stopped working.  I have used it since it came out. Now it does not work.  Any thoughts to what might have happened?

    Hi there
    i would like to add the JK variants like for example Firestarter_FS9-K but i dont know how to do this.
    I dis a copy of the H variant (change the jason file name to K) as these are very same about stats but still the hard points are not changed.
    Of course i have added the file to the BT chassis folder but no changes are made.
    Anyone can give me a helping hand please?
    I would like to add all JK variants so all of them have all hard points as the rest from the original BT mod.
    Please???

    If using the 3062 mod, just paste over the above into any/every mech chassis json in every location as needed (except legs - that gets wonky).

    Any chance of us getting a version that uses the official in-game mod support instead of Modtek?

    So I went to mod the HM-added mechs to have the expanded hardpoints, but I can't find the chassis files for them - they arent in the Chassis directory (other than the Marauder and WArhammer, both added with the Free Update). Where is the location of the HM-added mechs?

    File says it was updated for 1.8.0 Heavy Metal, but as gudu44 states, all the mech files are missing...

      You can just manually edit the files. Took me all of about ten minutes to copy and paste the right code into the locations hardpoints section. You'll want to grab the chassisdefs from here - https://github.com/caardappel-hbs/bt-dlc-designdata - that contains all the missing dlc mechs, not just for Heavy Metal.

      Can you tell me a bit more about editing the files? I'm fairly inexperience at this. I edited the chassisdefs from the expansions in notepad and saved them to the same chassis folder the the original mod uses (BATTLETECH\Mods\Classic_BT_Slots\chassis) but the new files don't seem to be working. I used the original mod's hardpoint codes to modify the new chassisdefs.

      Either I did something wrong, I save the files in the wrong place, or I need to alter the mod.json.
