      same question, anyone had a chance to test this? very interested to try it out but afraid to break my mods, given all the problems i've already had post-1.3 w/ mods...

    that's interesting! how do these 'mechs behave when in combat range of the OpFor?

      They keep walking straight for the evac zone just like vehicles do. They will fire at enemies in their forward arc. If there are no enemies forward they brace. For all that rigidness they are surprisingly effective support.

      btw, I just flew planet to planet until the mission showed up. It took a few tries at 10 contracts per system.

      Well that was certainly interesting, im glad they can take more of a beating than the tanks.

      so would this mission then be easier than escorting vehicles or is there a force multiplier for the OpFor to offset the beefier target? with vehicles, one destroyed components kills it, but with a mech, it has to be the Head or CT, so that would give the player an easier time if there is no adjustment to the difficulty.

      The mechs need escort because they have 25% armor. And I turned up the difficulty of the OpFor a bit. But this is a proof of concept. I didn't spend a lot of time balancing it.
