Summary: I didn't see a stand-alone mod with the values I found worked best for me when playing, so I thought I'd share.
Changes to CombatGameConstants.json: "BaseSpotterDistance" 300m increased to 500m - This is your visible range pilots can see. "BaseSensorDistance" 400m increased to 450m - (Sensor Range) compared to vanilla values of 300m and 400m.
Now you can see *almost* as far as far as the PPC shoots. This opens up combat a lot, letting long range builds like the Awesome and Jagermech compete with AC20, ML and SRM builds.
Warning! This helps the AI as much as the player, since lighter mechs like Vindicators, Cicadas and Panthers can strike from a safe distance, and the 3xPPC on a Shrek tank need to be taken seriously!
