A mod to limit the drop tonnage of the players lance to match the difficulty rating of the current contract.
Adding a drop tonnage limit which is scaled to mission difficulty is intended to help to ensure that each battle is reasonably challenging, and that the player doesn't drastically outpace the games content and end up trivializing it.
The second intent of adding a tonnage limit is to put pressure on the player to collect a range of mechs that vary by weight and specialization. As the player faces a range of contract difficulties as they play through missions, they will tend to find that they need different mech combinations to form the most effective lance for the given tonnage limits.
The default tonnage limits are chosen to match the recommended minimum tonnage for each contract difficulty which results in a reasonably challenging game. The tonnage limit for each difficulty bracket can be modified by editing the mod.json file.
Extract the files from TonnageLimitByMissionDifficulty.zip into your BATTLETECH/Mods/ directory such that the mod.json and .dll file are both in the folder: BATTLETECH/Mods/TonnageLimitByMissionDifficulty/
