The file you download will contain a folder entitled ReShade, within that folder will be multiple config files. Perhaps I called them text files in the ReadMe.
If you installed ReShade correctly you should find a folder named ReShade there as well beside your game's executable (Not the Launcher if you're using a retail version). Replace the config files within that ReShade folder with my own. You need to overwrite.
So I noticed in your install instructions it says "My .txt files need to overwrite ReShade's.". But there aren't any .txt files in the .rar archive that I downloaded off of this page, should there be? I have extracted your ReShade folder to the home of the Battlefront executable, but I'm afraid it still doesn't work and I believe this may be the cause.
You are very right that my installation instructions make no sense. The new ReShade is structured differently than previous. Download and use the latest version of ReShade 2.0 and the refollow my instructions. https://reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/294-reshade-repository
