    i cant get it to work. I put the whole file in the right spot, went in and nothing happened.
    started a new campaign, nothing. tried replay mission, nothing past first 2 missions.

      Hm... you maye need to remove your old save(s) and/or disable Steam Cloud?

    To anyone wondering, putting these files and restarting the campaign instantly unlocked steam achievements and the locked weapons in the assignment tab.

      Maybe, but you'd have to locate where the save file is stored- it's probably in a different location than the Steam version.
      I can't say for certain.
