Removes the palm rest visual attachment present on three of the Marksman variant sniper rifles: the SMLE, the Gewehr M.95, and the Gewehr 98.

As you can probably tell by now, I have a few minor issues with some of the visual design in this game. The “palm rest” modification on the Marksman variant of sniper rifles is one of them. It’s ugly, alters the gun’s animations to look extraordinarily weird and dumb, and the Marksman variant doesn’t even possess any unique statistical bonuses to justify having it.
Though, perhaps it’s not even right to say it’s “on the Marksman variant of sniper rifles”, since despite being explicitly mentioned in the description of the Marksman variant it only appears on half of them- the SMLE, the Gewehr M.95, and the Gewehr 98. The two DLC Marksman rifles don’t have it, and the Springfield’s Marksman variant actually had its palm rest removed in an update, suggesting even the developers didn’t like it (even before that, if memory serves, the animations for this specific gun actually held it “incorrectly”, like a vertical grip).
In any case, this mod removes the palm rest visuals from the three rifles that have it, and changes their animations to use the standard rifle grip animation for that weapon.
