    AND ONCE AGAIN!

The file has been updated with loaaaads of new or updated assets, improving or expanding on a lot of things in a way that I'm very happy with! Ultimately this massive update brings the project to closer parity with my 1916 mod, but, of course, keeps the early-war aesthetic. Be sure to read the changelog for a more comprehensive list of changes, and please let me know if there are any issues. Enjoy!

PLEASE NOTE: Frosty is designed around Origin, if you're playing on another platform (Like Steam) it's going to have issues. You can change the primary platform that Frosty launches from through its settings tab. Tutorial here.

Also make sure you are using the latest version of Frosty (Download here) when using my projects.

Thank you for downloading, and I hope you enjoy!

I'm quite new to Nexus but this was the first mod I needed to download since I'm a massive fan of BF1. How do I properly download it? I'm not familiar with NexusMods at all.

Hi there! Glad to hear you wanna play with my mod!

Firstly you'll need to download this: https://github.com/CadeEvs/FrostyToolsuite/releases/download/v1.0.6.1/FrostyModManager.zip

This tool allows you to use mods for BF1. Then download 1914 from the "Files" tab on Nexus, just save it to whereever.
Open the Frosty Mod Manager you downloaded earlier, it should automatically detect that you have BF1 installed but if not then you can hit "scan" to make it locate the game, or you can manually guide it to your game files if you need to. Once it's seen BF1, select the BF1 profile, at which point it'll take you to a tab where you can install your mods for BF1!

From there you'll see an "Add mods" button near the top left, hit that and guide it to the 1914 file you downloaded and select it. It'll install the mod, but it won't be active yet. You'll see this tab is split into two columns, left  and right. The left column is installed mods, the right column is for activated (applied) mods and the the description tabs for those mods.
Double click 1914 in the left column and it should activate it, putting it in the "Applied mods" tab on the right.

At that point you can launch the game with "Launch" button at the very top, and enjoy it! :D

There's a tutorial linked in the stickied comment on this page, but you can check it out here as well. Should help you out!

Also be sure to use the recommended version of Frosty to play with mods that are as big as mine. Download here.

      Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info, though now the game fails to launch and I get a warning to repair my game installation and try again.

Hi again, try launching Frosty with Admin privileges. That's solved that issue for me and a few others!

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work either. The mod is made for frosty mod manager 1.0.6.1 correct?

So this file should work with the later releases since that's what I've tested it on, so all I can recommend trying is deleting everything in this folder:
      C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Frosty

Then deleting and reinstalling Frosty and all your mods, making sure it's set to the right launcher in the settings like from that tutorial, and always be sure to launch Frosty with admin privileges.

Ye, same as I said on 1916, no problem by me, so long as you credit, as you say, so thank you for that!

Hi! Sorry for taking so long, been a very busy couple of weeks. It's kind of possible, but it would be a lot of work, and is a long term goal I have in mind for my projects, although my aim isn't to remove the gloves completely, just to make them wool instead of leather!

I actually downloaded the 1918 mod just for the wool gloves.

They are really cool to have bur he cheated a little since it's a retexture of the leather ones (No shade to him though of course hah). I'm hoping to get them properly woolly, I just need to make time for it since I've been super busy irl.

Hi! Sorry it's taken so long to reply, the mod should still be working as of version 1.0.6.1 since that's the version it's designed for. I'm not sure about 1.0.6.2 as I haven't tested that build yet since it's still in beta, so I'd recommend sticking to 1061 for now. Hopefully that helps!

Hi there, sorry to hear you're having issues. I can't seem to recreate it so if you could please tell me a few things:

      1. What version of Frosty Mod Manager are you using?
      2. What launch platform are you using (Steam, Origin, etc)?
      3. Depending on the answer of the above, have you made sure to set Frosty to launch with the correct launcher?

Hope we can get it sorted!

So I'm not too knowledgeable on Frosty errors and the technical side of things, but according to some people I know it likely has something to do with a bad installation of Frosty and that one of the files has either been corrupted or removed by anti-virus or something like that.

The best thing to do would be a completely fresh install of Frosty and make sure it isn't altered at all by any other programs, and be sure to run it as admin, then try the mod again. Be sure to delete the ModData folder from your BF1 installation location as well.

      Hopefully that yields some results!
