If I may make a humble suggestion, I think it would also be useful to know what a bro's level 1 stats were. Why? Because there's a huge difference between a level 7 bro with 65 melee attack and a level 2 bro with 65 melee attack. The latter is a better bro, and will quickly surpass the former.
It's helpful to know at a glance who your best bros WILL BE, once levels permit.
Sure, you can look at their level and kind-of-sort-of work it out, roughly, but... a) not for stats like fatigue and defense which vary depending on gear, and b) that could be an argument against the mod as it currently is: "You can just look at their gear and subtract out the fatigue penalties and such". Obviously the point of the mod is to ease the burden of these on-the-fly mental calculations, and I think doing so for level 1 stats is just as useful for the reasons I provided.
While this is certainly possible it would require saving data which generally I like to avoid since it means you can't remove the mod without the save crashing. Also if that was included then you'd have up to 3 stats per stat which I think would get quite cluttered.
I could create it as a separate mod I suppose and figure out how to make it compatible which this one. Having said that I'm not actively modding battle brothers atm aside from updating mods when the need arises or when bugs need fixing,
If I am currently using the non-hook version without problems, would it be recommended to switch [to the hook version] on my current playthrough? Or should I just wait for a new game to do all of that?
The conflict with tryout is a single line in data_helper. I've added that line to my file as long was this mod is loaded after tryout they work together. I think files are loaded in alphabetically so you just need to rename one of the mods to get the necessary order.
on 17 because i heard that 18 broke some mods look like i will have to manage without your mod even though its super useful and time saving :[ realy sorry for bothering you
ya me too its so waird and a first for me to happen the moment i install it i just can't seem to open recr screen and i notice that the loading time of leaving or entering a settlment is gone as if the mod removed recruit function the moment its installed and who knows maybe it will be fixed after hooks update
A quick request though, if I may: is it possible to get a version that keeps the stats ordered the way they are in the vanilla, but with the rest of the features of the mod intact?

Either way, thanks for the mod!
