Hello! First of all, thank you for the mod. I'm just a layman when it comes to mods, but I think the last file you've uploaded this November wasn't compressed right, in the same way the other hook-dependent mods I've seen. Your mod was compressed as Cut to the Chase - Rumors-73-1-0-1556881674.zip> Cut to the chase - rumors>Scripts The other mods I've seen are compressed as Mod.zip>Scripts
It worked when I unzipped it and compressed it again without the extra folder.
Does this still work on the vanilla game? I can't seem to get it to work. I tried both of the files and dropped them into the data folder like all of my other mods. Is this not compatible with any other popular mods? I don't think I have any that conflict with rumors.
edit: not sure, but I changed the front of the filename to mod_ and now it works. I also refreshed the data folder. Hmmm...oh well it's working fine now, thanks.
i assume this does not alter gameplay in any way only gives hints to players where should they go? if so this mod even more useful for people who has not so good english.
Currently it does not give you anything that the rumor does not say itself other then the following Contract if its a quest | NamedItem if its a item site | MiscLocation if its just a random location rumor
I would happily make a version that adds data to the rumors anl93.
Basically each lets say 'response' has several variables.
%distance% to the site %terrain% of the site %direction% of the site %name% of the site
Some rumors have distance and direction, some have terrain and direction, some have all four.
I can test if I can add all of the above to every rumor. I'm going to wait until the dlc as I'm very busy over the next four days. But making this easier for people who dont speak English sounds like a good goal to me!
Cool mod, but I kinda have a weird complaint. The hints are too specific! It tells you the exact name of the place with an item, what direction its in, and even says the type of terrain to look for. I recommend keeping the direction and terrain type, but lose the name. Also its weird how the tavern automatically tells you about these items before you even buy anybody a drink; make it so people have to actually buy a few before they start showing up.

Its the way in Vanilla You can exit and enter settlement to change rumor so you don't have to buy drink in vanilla game too.
