In any battle where it's line vs. line, this mod makes your men - and enemies that are smart or disciplined enough - put their shields up before the battle starts if the opposition has archers. It's exactly as if the shield wall ability was used on the turn before the battle began (including fatigue costs).
Installation: Just drop the .zip file into the game's data directory. It's not necessary to unzip it. NOTE:mod_hooks ("modding script hooks") v16 or later is required.
