The goal of this mod is to rework the medium armor perks while keeping the following design principles in mind:
  • No two perks should have the same requirements or scaling factor. Otherwise, it feels like one perk split into many.
  • The perks should be usable by all kinds of recruits, but should give the highest benefit to medium armor users.

THE PERKS:

- Balance (row 2):
Gain up to +15 Melee and +5 Ranged Defense. The bonus increases as you wear armor of heavier weight (penalty to Maximum Fatigue) but drops slowly when your Current Initiative drops below twice your armor weight. This drop is faster for heavier armors.

- Perfect Fit (row 3): The penalty to Initiative from head and body armor is reduced by 30%. Skills build up 15% less Fatigue. These bonuses drop exponentially when your armor weight (penalty to Maximum Fatigue) is more than half of your Maximum Fatigue.

- Lithe (row 6): Damage to Hitpoints and Armor is reduced by 30% when the penalty to Maximum Fatigue from head and body armor is between 25 and 35. Outside this range, the bonus drops exponentially. As your armor takes damage, the bonus drops slowly to half its maximum value at 0 armor remaining.

- In the Zone (row 7): Gain a stacking buff that increases your Melee Damage and Melee Defense by 1% per stack. You gain a stack when you dodge a Melee attack and lose 2 stacks when you get hit by any attack. If your Initiative is greater than twice your armor weight (penalty to Maximum Fatigue), you start the battle with pre-applied stacks equal to your armor weight above 15. Cannot have more than 25 stacks.

COMPATIBILITY:
  • Requires the Legends mod.
  • Can be added to save games. Only newly spawned recruits will have the new perk tree (you can use Breditor to add the In the Zone perk to characters if you want).
  • Cannot be removed from save games if any character in the world is present with the "In the Zone" perk. Will cause a crash.
