Super late to the party, just in case anyone's still around though I got a problem with this mod where some of the time the net will not be returned to me even though the enemy has not destroyed it.
The fact that if an ally troops kills the netted enemy the net is not returnable is fine but it happens even when I get the kill. VERY often I'll net someone, immediately bonk them over the head and the net will disappear. It happens at a rate of like 1/4 uses.
Weirdly enough the taxidermist net you get with the spider web has a far smaller chance of disappearing like that than the normal nets. Those ones hardly ever get ruined like that, I'm not even sure if it has ever happened to be honest.
Only mods I'm running are the usual suspects mod hooks etc and swifter.
Hello! Great idea for a mod, but i've just noticed an oversight in it - perhaps a fair one for balance's sake.
ATM Nets can't be returned if used in the arena, even if killing a unit before they break free - I assume this is because the arena has a strict no drops modifier in place, as it's a loot free zone.
It would be super cool if nets could be reused in the arena, but I suppose I also feel that actually this makes for fair balance, otherwise netting the tougher arena enemies would always be the best tactic where possible (like it already is, but net upkeep keeps it being infinitely repeatable.)
I've had a crash with this mod. log says "Script Error the index 'playInventorySound' does not exist". I couldn't load my save file until i removed this mod.
I trapped a Webknecht in reinforced nets, it broke free, after a few turns I trapped it in another reinforced nets and killed it immediately. The second net has not been returned as a loot. That's the first time I've seen this "bug".
Actually, I do not remember having reinforced nets returned as loot. The spider was surrounded by three brothers, the other three tiles were blocking tiles. I will let you know if it is the issue with the reinforced ones only once I test the thing again.
Might be related to the full surround but that's total speculation. I know I tested it with reinforced nets, but the game has been patched a time or two since then...
