    Just ran across this coolness!
Does it work now, w/ the latest BB and all the DLCs?

Oh! Also: do you just put it in zipped like the prereq (mod hooks) OR, unzip this one to the mod hooks folder? The BB data folder?

Thanks in advance. I've been a PC gamer since the 1920s :D, but am not used to modding many games at all... only a select few.

It still works with everything except legends. NEVER unzip Battle Brothers mods. And if you aren't really sure what to do, you should be using Vortex. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Can you make this mod compatible with the newest version of the Legends? Or do you know if there is a way to change max party size to 36 somewhere in the files of Legends?
It worked with the Legends beta_12_7 but not with beta_15_1_6

Just wanted to ask if anyone else is having larger teams of NPC's attacking each other when using this mod? I like the idea but Caravan hands of the caravans I am escorting are attacking each other and the carts. Then I just faced 22 orcs who were fighting among themselves randomly then I just mopped up the rest.

Easy solution is to download it and check as it takes all of 2 minutes, but yes it should

How does this cause the game to scale?

Does it spawn more enemies to compensate? Does it spawn more champions? Things like that

Well, yes... The game just plays as though you can have up to 18 brothers rather than 16 and is appropriately more difficult...

Quest (aka contract) fights scale the most to your "roster strength".
      Non-quest roamers scale somewhat.
And lairs don't scale at all. (unless it's a quest that creates the fight in the lair).

But, IMHO, the biggest impact here is that some origins that are normally not able to have a reserve will be able to have one now.
The men between your max field-able number and max total number are your safety net of sorts.
Imagine a situation where half of your team got injured in a fight but there's the next fight coming your way.
If you have reserves that can cover half your team you get to fight a fair fight by benching all the injured.
But if you don't have any reserves you'll be walking into your execution next, because even if you don't field half your team the battle will still scale to your full size.

Oh, and then there's the paymaster (un)availability for some origins. Which I totally forgot about... (because there's another mod that is already dealing with it)

I have a question for all of you who fiddled with the .nut file of this mod. I downloaded and tried the 27/18 version of the mod, that also scales to 18. After playing for a while I noticed really large groups of enemies roaming around, so I decided to play a bit with settings, unpacked the zip, changed the scale setting to 12, saved, repacked. This is when the mod stopped working. Tried on a new game, not working. Repacked as .zip, .rar, . 7z, not working. It only works when using the original mod downloaded from this page, if I change any settings in the .nut it wont work. Should the maxincombat and maxscale settings be of the same value? Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

Quick question - are you 100% sure you repacked it the right way?
Because if you only changed one number in the files than this is probably the only way you could get the result to stop working.
Dunno how winzip or winrar do it by default nowadays, but when 7z gets an "add to archive" command it adds the folder itself to an archive as well.

Which leads to this silly scenario:
User takes a properly packed mod.
User does "unpack to [archives full name] directory.
User opens the .nut file somewhere inside the directory and edits it.
User does "add to [archives' full name] archive on the [archives full name] directory.

And this faulty sequence makes your custom version of the mod not work. Because instead of a correct path archive>scripts>!mods_preload>scriptfilename.nut you get an incorrect path archive>[some folder]>scripts>!mods_preload>scripfilename.nut

If you're only changing one file I suggest just creating a copy of the mod's own archive, extracting that one file and then adding that exact file to precisely the spot it was in overwriting the old one.

P.S. the reason you started getting those insane packs is (probably) because of how the game calculates company strength for scaling. The more people you can field the more people you will have to fight. So yeah changing you max field size should scale it back down, AFAIK.
