Tried my best to get this applied to batman instead, to use in conjunction with an animation mod, but couldn't do it. I tried poking around with UPK Explorer but there's thousands of cells and I'm lost on what to look for. Would there be a simple way to do this?
Edit: Figured it out. Guess I'll leave the instructions here incase there's someone else like me.
- Using UPKExplorer in advanced mode, open the "playable_" upk. Under "Names" use the search bar and type "playable" -Change the playable_ character name from "DLCBatgirl" to "batman". (Sidenote: I DIDNT do this to the file with "_sf" in its name. Maybe I should?) Click save copy. Now go to the mod install to remove the original upk. And rename the "copy" upk as 'Playable_batman_GothamKnights_SF' -Then in both bmgame and GFxUI, replace "DLCBatgirl" with "batman"
I may have missed something, but credit to DuaOnMyLipa for posting a comment in the modding discord about character swapping that allowed me the knowledge to get what I want working.
You only need to modify the mod's package file. This is its own option to open a .pkg when "advanced mode" is ticked on the bottom of the upk explorer. You may simply need to tick the advanced box in upk explorer to see the option, and then follow the steps.
(I'm actually coming back and using my own guide cause its been so long and there's a lot more batgirl mods!!) Dont forget to rename the pkg file to "playable_batman_XXX" instead of whoever character it was originally, or else it will not work correctly. And I think editing the GFxUI file is only to edit the text in the showcase menu which is pretty benign if you just wanna play.
Useful tutorial, it would be a better manner to modify Batman’s appearance than Using command if it works successfully. However unfortunately it doesn’t work on my computer, I edit the file in UPK Explorer, but nothing happened.

Great Mod so far, However there seems to be a visual issue when the cape is spread out during gliding, the gold lines seems to be shifted too far to the right.
Skins that require the fingersmesh command like the Knightfall skin aren't currently possible to port to UPK. We're working on improvements to UPKExplorer to get around that.

THANK YOU SO MUCH I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THIS FOREVER I HAD JUST GIVEN UP
Quick question though. The skin is currently showing up in the batgirl skins area in the showcase. Is there any way to move it up to the batman area?
He really makes a lot of awesome ones.
Any chance you can port (with his permission) to new slot versions his Batman Knightfall skin & Harley TSS red dress skin (links below)?
