Any chance that this mod lets me play through the story as some of the other characters? (I like thinking outside the box with different character kits)
what is the installation folder?? do I just use the default or is there some more specific area I need to put this mod, I'm just starting with batman arkham knight modding for the first time and I have no clue what I am doing
Installation folder is where the game gets installed to.
For Steam, the default location is C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Batman Arkham Knight. That's the location that's automatically selected by default. If you installed the game anywhere else you'll use the equivalent folder.

The City patch does that because it replaces the config file - City only has one.
Origins and Knight add stuff via DLC, no overwriting files unless absolutely necessary like UI text files.
