Works great, I would just ship the recommended settings as default. Remember to reset your game brightness to default everyone

This does not seem to work with Nvidia DLDSR resolutions. When RENODX is enabled in Reshade, the game appears zoomed in, instead of being between the bounds of the monitor.

Only thing installed is RENODX. Game is rendered properly with only Reshade enabled.

UPDATE: This is resolved if desktop's resolution is the same with the in-game resolution. This is not optimal, but it works.

RENODX looks incredible. I cannot really explain this but for me when I compared RENODX with RTX HDR, for some reason RTX HDR looks worse, when it shouldn't I think?

In any case, I hope for a solution for the resolution issue.

EDIT 2: Alt-Tab is also broken, game will refuse to tab back and needs to be exited completely and launched again.

RENODX looks incredible. I cannot really explain this but for me when I compared RENODX with RTX HDR, for some reason RTX HDR looks worse, when it shouldn't I think?

RTX HDR is just an auto-HDR process done on top of the SDR output, UI and all. It's no different than a Reshade fx. That's nowhere near close as real HDR coming out of the game.

I tested DLDSR and was able to get it to work with my 4K display, (after wrangling the fact that my display was sending an invalid 4096x2160 resolution).

You can see (if you squint) the capture is 3840x2160 (desktop resolution), but the render (if you see the depth buffer) is 5760x3240 (2.25x DL).

I'm pretty sure HDR requires DXGI flip model which is incompatible with exclusive fullscreen. You're supposed to use borderless fullscreen, which is faster and better.  See here. The add-on attempts to block exclusive fullscreen but it's not 100%. You should set resolution and set fullscreen (no border). Then, exit and restart the game and it should work. The Alt+Tab issues are also likely related to using exclusive fullscreen.

By the way, thanks for letting me know about DLDSR. I didn't even think about it, but glad to see it works.

I see, but many tests praise RTX HDR, and it has in fact produced better results than many in-game built-in (albeit, poorly implemented) HDR options, so for me RENODX was a surprise.

As for the resolution issue, I was under the impression that Windows 11 (which I have installed) do this already by default, meaning that there is no fullscreen exclusive mode any more by default, unless you opt to disable it on an app basis: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/demystifying-full-screen-optimizations/

I am also confident that Arkham Knight does not in any way force exclusive mode since otherwise alt tabbing would be extremely slow and jitterish (especially under DLDSR), and it is not.

So, it should just work regardless of fullscreen or not—or am I misunderstanding something here?

The "optimizations" Microsoft performs for exclusive fullscreen are not the same as real borderless fullscreen. It's not perfect and buggy. It was the same, then there wouldn't be any difference between the game's borderless fullscreen and the fullscreen. Lost Planet is another game that I have to force borderless fullscreen because it doesn't even have the option. It's needed because despite what Microsoft does to make it work with DWM, it's not enough.

Also, if your expectations were that the game's exclusive fullscreen is no different than the game's real borderless fullscreen, why not use the real borderless fullscreen option?

I see, I didn't know that they are different in terms of using the DXGI flip model, considering games and devs still suggest switching to fullscreen to sometimes resolve issues with games. I'll test this out in other games as well, thank you!

Thanks for sharing it, HDR works nicely!
But using  it  i noticed that distant objects  seems kinda like pixelated,as if there´s no antialiasing, you can see that cleary at the suits showcase screen looking at  the models preview. Maybe a problem with Reshade  depht buffers?
    Even so HDR looks great!

If it's like that with Preset Off, then that's how the game looks. The anti aliasing the game uses might not be great for HDR. I can take a look, but if it's aliased in Vanilla, then it would be here.

The only thing changed is the tonemapping, adding sliders to effects, and making the sure the UI is outputted correctly. In other games I'd have to mess with TAA/FXAA.

AA looks better without reshade installed.  But it´s a small price to pay in exchange for good HDR, and i think i could use Nvidia DSR to improve AA.

AA looks better without reshade installed.

That doesn't make much sense. The game should look the same as Vanilla with Preset Off. Maybe there's some other reshade effect/addon modifying the presentation of the game.

Would it be possible to make a TAA mod for this game? Like the one Alien: Isolation got (though I'm aware it runs on a different engine and the game already had temporal SMAA which was a big head start for the mod). Maybe the TAA in Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat 11, or even Outlast 2 could help as those games also run on UE3.
