BNG 2600
Total Atarification! Nearly every sound replaced with samplings of the Atari 2600 (and emulated speech synth.) Environment sounds such as 'Thunder' and 'Spray' have been left untouched for consistency, as many other environment sfx are baked into the track files and prefabs and cannot be altered.
>Installation>>
1. Copy the 'BNG 2600' folder to your installation's 'Sounds' folder (/Steam/steamapps/common/BallisticNG/User/Mods/Sounds)
2. Enable 'custom sounds' through the ingame menu (main menu > config > audio > mods) and select the appropriate 'sound pack'
NOTE: Only one sound pack can be active at a time. If you wish to use more than one, they must be combined into one folder.
SUGGESTED SETTINGS:
This pack works perfectly fine with the game music, but to more fully capture that retro Atari vibe I suggest disabling the music (a suggestion I never dreamed I'd make.) Also, if you often play in cockpit view, I suggest turning 'cockpit filtering' off in the audio mixing settings ingame. These poor simple sound waves get absolutely buried by the filter.
