Correct. As prepared casters, paladins can swap their spells out whenever they want outside combat. This mod is about giving non-prepared casters more known spells to make up for that lack of flexibility, and the fact that prepared casters usually have more spells prepared than other casters have known.
rangers start with 1 additional spell, and end with 8 more. warlocks start with 2 more spells and end with 6 more. sorcerers start with 2 more and end with 7 more. bards start with the same amount and end with 5 more.
nice! thank you! If you're still playing with it an option to up prepared slots for wizards/clerics and such would be fun. Also Arcane Trickster Rogues.... Like Astarion need love too Added mid game. Respeccing to Sorcerer did not get me 4 spells at level 1
Seems to work for me. Do you have any other mods that modify spell selection, particularly for level 1 sorc? EDIT: I did notice that sometimes a respec into the same class shows incorrect numbers of spells and cantrips. To fix, merely select a different class and back again. That is, just click cleric for example, then back to sorc before confirming.
Not entirely sure how I would add spell preparation slots, still pretty new to modding bg3. There are a few mods that get rid of spell prep entirely (just type 'prep' into the bg3 nexus mods search bar).
EDIT: I thought about adding more to arcane trickster and eld knight, but haven't played with them much, so wasn't sure how many slots would be balanced (particularly since there are no 1/3 casters who prepare spells to compare them to). Currently, they start with 3 at level 3, and end with 8 (arc trickster) or 9 (eld knight). Does starting with 3 and adding 1 per level to end at 12 sound reasonable? And should that be a separate download, or add to the original?

Edit: I checked couple of subclasses that I added and for those extra spells is not added at level 1. These are mods that I checked
Celestial Warlock
Hexblade
Divine Soul Sorcerer
warlocks start with 2 more spells and end with 6 more.
sorcerers start with 2 more and end with 7 more.
bards start with the same amount and end with 5 more.
