I dont have a clue on how to put them into what files and i cant seem to find an answer. i tired dropping it just into the data folder but nothing. could someone tell me on how to install them ?
make sure that you're dropping the Generated folder into Data, not the .DDS files by themselves.
if you're doing that, make sure you don't have something already overwriting it, like in .pak form, idk if loose overwrites pack or other way around, but double check that.
The tattoos are not showing for male tieflings, can you please add them for male tiefling? Please please I love your tattoos so much! Thank you so much for sharing your mod
Oh nevermind I found the problem! The tattoos ARE working, its just some modded heads that are not compatible, I haven't noticed that hahaha sorry for wasting your time!! @_@
oh im so sorry, which modded heads? i know the mod custom tattoos is set to work with some modded heads, maybe you could see if it's compatible with the mod you want to use and copy the textures over?
not a waste of time! im sorry i couldn't solve the problem <333
You have to edit the file yourself, but it isn't too hard. Well, it looks harder than it is, I mean. Anyway -
1. open the vanilla (or modded if you're merging with another mod) dds or psd in photoshop, gimp, whatever program you're using to edit. 2. figure out which tattoo you want to replace. Lets say I wanna move that Etain warpaint to cover a different tattoo. Copy both channels (in this, the red and blue channels) as layers onto the other tattoo dds (you can do this by selecting the 'layers' tab and making a new blank layer). In GIMP I think there's something called decompose which lets you split layers, but I don't use GIMP 8D -> 2b. Additionally helpful is the faces layer I added to the PSD so you can check for alignments and such. Might copy that as well. 3. Select just your new tattoo. Cut or copy it to a new layer on it's own, or right click + select inverse and delete the rest of the layer, since you won't need it. 4. Adjust the alignment of the new tattoo so it's over the old one. Here you can see that I also 1) inverted the colors (black to white, white to black) then set the layer to 'Overlay' so that I was just seeing the tattoo. Once it was aligned, I inverted the colors again. In photoshop the shortcut for this is CTRL + I. 5. Save using these settings.
Game crashed in character creation after i selected the one that looks like Hawke's paint. After deleting the mod I had not encounter any crash. Will there be an any new update soon mate? Your mod is pretty unique when comparing to others. Thank you anyways.
I haven't experienced any crash in CC and made a new character last night. Can I ask a few troubleshooting questions? Namely, is this your only CC mod or are you using others, and would you be willing to try with just this mod installed? Also, are you playing on Vulcan or DX11, and if you switch to the other renderer does the crash occur there, too? Also which mod manager you're using?
Sorry for so many questions, want to rule out as much as I can. I'll also try and see what the issue is but I'm famously inept at repairing my own files, lol.
For CC mods I was using Tav's Hair Saloon, Kyra's Head and Hair, and Vemperen's Human G1. Im also using BG3 mod manager. I always launch the game with DX11. I tried Vulcan when testing too.
I thought it would be these mods that crashed the game when combining with yours. So I tried deactivating every mod except these ones that I counted now. After selecting that particular tattoo no crash happened. Then I tried reactivating every other mod that I disabled (mostly QOL fixers, difficulty changers or class mods). No crashes whatsoever.
Gotta be honest, I felt like a liar when no crashes happened xD. But Im confused now, what was the reason of that crash when I tired your mod for the first time though?
Also I dont know if it is about your mod but the face tattos were flickering (yours and vanillas included). To explain it better: they were changing resolution from high to low every second. This didn't happened before.
If It's not crashing now, just keep an eye out for the next crash, and screenshot your LO for it. You can report it in bugs section - I'll be better able to monitor a bug reported there.
For the resolution changes, no idea! I haven't had that but I switch and swap tattoo mods based on characters I'm playing, plus for my own current pt I have a bespoke file I mashed several facepaints from. Then again it could be happening and I don't notice it hehe.
I haven't used Kyra's Head and Hair or Vemperen's Human head yet, so I'll have to check them out in conjunction, maybe I'll do some playing around today. I switched from Vortex to BGMM and haven't seen any issues either so I'm sure its not that. Do you have Mod Fixer installed? Some people have said it's not necessary and some have said it still is, maybe switching between activated and not might help with the flickering. I have it installed but, idk, something to keep in mind.
TY for checking these things! Like I said if I can replicate a crash I will go from there, I appreciate your feedback and thorough testing.

Thanks for the feedback too mate.
