There is definitely a problem here. If you don't select Sacred Flame - Overcharged at the CHARACTER CREATION, it NEVER appears in the spellbook, even when you level up and get new cantrips. Before the patch, it used to always appear in the spellbook, and was swappable with the other cantrips.
I like the holy flame spell, but I would like to keep the old default animation/effect as Larian has it. And then load the mod for a bit more damage, but with the old effect.
I generally miss more spells with glowing damage in the higher spell levels. I like to play the cleric with light domain. But I would have liked to swap all the fire spells for light magic except for flamestrike at the end. The effects should not be exaggerated and should be appropriate. They should also have bonuses against shadow creatures and undead and demons and also make partially hidden creatures visible.
Holy lightsaber that builds upwards and then rushes downwards and comes down on enemies. A large hammer of light that slowly spreads a small wave of light on impact, dealing AE damage in the surrounding area. A Holy Shield that stops melee strikes in front of the priest, knocking the attacker back, then dissipates, surrounding the enemy and rising upwards in a pillar of light, then descending in a clench, dealing the amount of absorbed damage dealt to the enemy as a bolt of light.
Such spells and matching effects. Then the light domain is certainly a very cool thing.
Secondly, two things. Would it be possible to remove concentration from the spell? It kills my other spells like Hold Person, Silence, etc.
Secondly, would be it be possible to adjust the height at which the spell can be fired? Because it only allows to target peeps on the same height as your char, not above and not below.
Other than that, it's an amazing mod. I just wish those things could be adjusted.
Love this mod truly great work but it does feel a little too powerful for a cantrip. A version that uses the exact same animation but is single target like eldrich blast would feel much more balanced.
This seems incompatible with the Trade with Withers mod. After I respec Shadowheart with this mod enabled, it seems to work but when I talk to Withers again after leveling up, the game crashes. I removed the mod and she was able to talk to him like normal.
I love this idea, but like many others, I'm hoping to use a version that doesn't require concentration. Does the older file "Cleric - Sacred Flame - 1d10 - Action" work like the normal cantrip but d10 instead of 8, or does it also use concentration? Thanks to anyone who can help!
For anyone wondering, I tested it, and it also uses concentration and can hit teammates. Hope we're able to get a version without the concentration and/or friendly fire. Heck, I wouldn't mind the old animation that just does d10 instead of 8.
Thanks for making this. Sacred Flame is the base game is a complete joke of a spell that makes actually being a full caster Cleric impossible without a reliable cantrip. This seems like a really good upgrade without being overpowered.
