I should have actually searched for it. Glad I forgot about it. Now that I've been checking newest mods lately, I'm gonna have me my very own BUSTER SWORD! REMADE!
Use a recording software, and then send me the link to review it. I have it set to where it is required to be verified by me before I post it under the Videos tab. I ask that you make sure you aren't using any inappropriate or NSFW releated mods during recording. It's a big NO in my book, and it will get immediately rejected.
As long as you record it through Youtube, and is a Youtube link since Nexus only allows Youtube linked videoes, I don't see any other problem.
Any chance to make other balanced ff7 weapons. Aside these are still very strong compared to base options. Even once per battle is a bit too easy. Not like you get limitbreaks every fight.
Possibly. I plan on doing some more tweaks possibly with the Buster Sword involving maybe making an alt 2d6 greatsword version, since you're the second person saying that it being 3d6 is 'too strong'.
As long as I'm not bothered by it while making more creative choices with the Buster Sword potentially, it will be considered. I have thought on somehow bringing limit breaks into bg3, but it seems it might be very difficult to do...
the mod works and looks great, only i can't seem to be able to use focussed thrust as braver is the only one that works. It seems to just be blanked out
You can only use Braver and Focused Thrust once per battle. I made it that way so as to really make the player think on when's the best time to use them or not, and not to just spam it annoyingly.
If that's not it, it could be that you have your abilities in your Commons tag scrabbled around and have misplaced it.
A buddy was asking me if I thought this mod was reasonable and l said yes. Then I showed him tables for 3.5 Oversized weapons that had a Large sized greatsword with 3d6 but it has a -2 to hit and the Full Blade from the Sword and Fist splat book that had 2d8. Mod seems pretty reasonable at just a large sword with 3d6.
Edit:To be clear it's a -2 to hit because characters are medium not large, and the sword is large.
Understandable! The reason I made the Buster Sword deal 3d6 instead of 2d6 like any other greatsword was because that was around how much damage it would deal in the original Final Fantasy VII for Playstation around when you started the game for the first time after hopping off the train and go through with the Bombing Mission. I also ran the numbers of damage the Buster Sword does at the beginning of FF7 Remake and Rebirth, and it was about the same as that too. I wanted the Buster Sword to be as faithful as possible to the original material without it becoming overpowered in Baldur's Gate 3.
love the focused thrust and braver skills idea, but any chance of getting a variation that is normal greatsword damage die (2d6) but scales enchantment with player level like a number of other weapon mods have been able to do?
would help it feel like its still good lategame without it feeling overpowered early game, especially if playing multiplayer runs and people feel like they are getting left behind damage wise.
If you're using a mod to spawn the Tutorial Chest, I believe it should, yes. I haven't tested it, so please do report back on if it works or not. Feedback is always appreciated.
Did you install jenix's FF7 Buster Sword and made sure to load the FFVII Remake Buster Sword AFTER it? Because I made it clear in the instructions that it is a requirement. If you didn't do that, it won't show up on the Nautiloid.
