With permission from jenix106, I have revised her take on the Buster Sword since it was too broken and overpowered, as well as several other flaws the mod had when released by her. These are the changes as followed below to give you all a more-balanced, satisfying playthrough using it:
- Sticking with the Remake version of the Buster Sword, removing alternate designs from Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare that the original had that proggressively make it look like the Crisis Core version of the Buster Sword.
- Instead of it being a Common, Uncommon, or Very Rare weapon; it's now just a Rare weapon.
- Free Riposte, Weapon Enchantment, Superiority Dice, and Armor Class bonuses are removed due to being too overpowered.
- Damage dice is edited. As it originally dealt only 2d6 Slashing, it is bumped up to 3d6 Slashing.
- Added a unique Focused Thrust ability to the Buster Sword, works very similar to its weapon ability from Remake.
- Can be found on board the Nautiloid in the Tutorial Chest instead of being bought in shops, referencing it being Cloud's starting weapon in Remake, so it's only fair you find it on the Nautilod before waking up on the beach. This means there is only ONE Buster Sword in the whole game, so it's not found anywhere else.
