I was wondering if it might be possible in the future to see an option between B and C that could be closer to the face from the mod Another Face for Lae'zel (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2385), with a more East Asian-inspired appearance. I think this could help make Lae'zel look even more refined and unique! Once again, thank you for your outstanding contribution to the community—it’s greatly appreciated!

It shouldn't... Did you read the description? I redid the pictures yesterday or the day before and added a note afterwards underneath what this mod does.
Are you also aware its not meant to be removing the tattoos etc? (Just mentioning incase) The first picture is the what the mod does, the second and third pictures have the tattoos removed so you can potentially see the face shape changes easier.
If its not that kind of confusion then I'm unsure why this wouldn't be working for you on the latest update
I have just made the loose versions available for download again! The intention is for those who werent on patch 7 to be able to use it again but if you cant get the PAK to work its now a loose version again too so you can try that version in the "Old Files" section!
Nice mod! I cannot decide which version I like more, since all have their charm, so I'll just download them all and rotate them. xD
I just wish we could get a HD lips mod/update, since they are so distractingly... blurry? I don't know how to describe it, they just look low quality compared to the rest of the detailed faces during dialogs. Since nowadays I try to look more at the characters instead of the subtitles, it's really noticeable. :')
Or maybe it's because they don't have depth compared to the rest of the face? Hmmmm

I've removed my textures and updated the version, which can now be used with "More detailed Lae'zel" or other texture edits 😊 Might satisfy ya until Patch 7 comes!
I did just see that the lips were removed but i like it so much i commented asking for it back but with the detail going all the way to the edge of the lips, here's to hoping!

I'm honestly kinda disappointed with what I found on Mod.io(mostly Nexus uploads or mods that do the same as other Nexusmods), so I came back here, looks like I will take your edits and detailed Lae'zel again. xD

Edit: Seems like most modders are now focusing on making custom characters/gear/classes, almost no new or updated mods that upgrade existing things. Upscale project "retired" after 1 month of upload... what? xD
I'd imagine alot of modders are familiarising themselves with the toolkit, so making stuff that's not been possible before now is probably what their all so focused on haha! That's a shame about the upscale project and the textures you wanted not being available, I don't really know whats done to upscale a texture 😂 Someone may eventually do it!
Did you use the new toolkit yet? Does it help with your alternative/updated characters?
It's been more than 1 month. I would've imagined that modders would do the standard of putting out 4k bodies and faces like always in the beginning, since it's like the entry point of effort. So either there is no interest, the tool is too complex, or it didn't help that much with such an endeavour.
Upscaling can be done by hand, basically redrawing the texture with more resolution, or most do it with AI. But yeah it's kinda weird how the upscale project was uploaded here on September, then in October the last update came and the description says: "I'm retired"... ehhh sure? xD
Yeah I've converted all my mods apart from one I think to the toolkit version successfully. And that's just because I think the makeup mod makes more sense to just use them loose. I'd be happy to make it a .PAK but yeah it's just a loose file mod for now. To me, it's much more preferable to code. Although you still need blender etc to make the changes. It just removes alot of the eye sores of editing code files and gives a good testing ground.
The thing is that it doesn't let you edit textures directly in the toolkit, you import them into the toolkit after they're made in other software like gimp. Another thing is if you want you can make the tweaks normally requiring code editing to change within the toolkit.
i'm getting a neck seam, i use face b gith nose, but the weird thing is, the neckseam is not all the time, it's temporal, sometimes is there and some times it doesn't, depends on lighting, how laezel moves, how is her neck moving or twisting etc.
i use trip shaders because i need it for other companions, but i don't think it shouldn't be an issue.
Are you using any textures? I'm pretty sure when I tested this before uploading, changing my model and texture settings down was fine and I didn't notice any seams, but I may have to investigate this if there are no textures applied to your lae'zel!
If there are textures applied to your lae'zel, try removing the texture first and seeing if the seam is there still. If it's not there anymore it's the texture that's the issue. Also if it's one of my textures please let me know which one!
Okay so that texture was only the eyebrows I touched so it must be the head, I will update face B gith nose soon as I think I might know what the issue could be, hopefully I'm correct haha!
Before that I just want to double check you've not got any body mods on to make other heads work? As that could also be the issue! I dont know what trips shader pack actually does honestly just saying as you mentioned it 😅 Can you try it without the trips shader pack just because I can't seem to replicate the neck seams your seeing 🤔
If anyone else is having this issue, and aren't using any body mods can you possibly reply also so I know this is an issue my end 🙏🏻
no body mods, tried without trip shaders, but neckseam still there, i assume simple shaders that enable certain pre patch 5 shaders/channels wouldn't do much but who knows.
edit: now that i remembered, i'm using more abs for lae'zel, but i think even before that i already had neckseam
edit2: apologies, now i remembered again, i'm using HD githyanki spots and githyanki ridge spots body and face.
Okay, thanks for answering that for me, okay I'll try and have a new version of the head you're using available today and hopefully it corrects it for you. When it's uploaded and you've tried it would you mind letting me know if the issue is resolved. I'd imagine I could get on my pc and get a new version up within the next couple hours! Update: Updated the file, please let me know if that is resolved now 😊
it has been solved from what different lighting i could come across, also zoom camera.
but there is a new issue, even with the graphic options detail and lod set to high. now her face on the distance becomes undetailed, only her green skin appears, her spots and eyes look like a faceless empty being.
For some reason Lae'zel's LOD 1 in the game files is just as your image showed, like some weird texture... I've set that material to show her LOD 2 now.
Thanks for mentioning this issue as I would rather know and try to get it fixed so more people can enjoy using my files! Okay does this new version of it fix everything?

I can certainly try in a little bit, I'm just helping someone out and I'm not at my computer, I've not seen anything on how to upload directly to mod.io yet so that's why I just haven't yet 😅 Its probably as simple as just pressing a few buttons as I've already got everything into the toolset working patch 7 so I'll take a look when I'm back on my computer!

Hi there, yeah so I was considering creating a mod which added all the faces I've done so far for companions to CC, It will be on a different page however as there will be a lot of combinations to do based off how many files I've done so far. I'll reply to this when I find time to get it done! Thanks for the suggestion and I'll try and get that up fairly soon so you can use it!

I think the lip colour in the picture of head B was just putting the lips "white" with 4 as the tint intensity, either that or it was the "red cold 1" at about 15-20 tint intensity. Just in case you wondered!

It does sound as if it's possible to export the edited origin characters and create a replacer mod. Is there a tutorial you've followed?

Yeah that should keep me satisfied for now, I got the Lae'zel and Halsin from Daraki, and Companion And NPC Face Texture Tweaks for the rest.
