I think this mod might be a little broken, I installed it and it replaces human head 3 and 6, but is using those textures, without the same morphs? Like, neither head looks like the original game head, and neither head has the same facial structure.
Hello again! Could you please check, her eyes are not fully closing in the cutscenes https://imgur.com/a/hXYNBJi 2 screenshots here. Maybe you could kindly fix it? I love her so much:)
Totally understood, but I didn't promise anything on account of having done this months ago (for my own personal character) and having very little time these days, also not knowing how to do it without watching all the turtorials and faffing around for a few hours. Basically I thought sharing it as-is was marginally better than not sharing. Note also that there is a human preset in this mix, even if it doesn't have the nicest face texture on that preset.
Figuring out how to make a functional .pak file that worked was literally the hardest part of the face mod process for me when I made mine - even harder than adjusting the bones which I wrote a couple Python scripts to (mostly) automate. And I am counting writing those scripts when I say that.
It's entirely possible you'd have an easier time than I did so don't let me scare you away if you're considering trying your hand at a .pak, my point is simply that I definitely understand now why some people just make replacers. It's a lot of work to get those heads packaged functionally. Ended up with more than one headless Tav before I worked it out. ;D
i actually know what it's like to get into modding without proper tools/tutorials despite the game's popularity and amount of content on nexus ._. i rarely see faces like this one, altered only in the right places.
So cute! She also replaces human head 2 btw, both human heads look different tho, but whatever, who plays humans anyway lol. Hope a standalone version comes soon, but will start a run with her right now. Thank you for sharing your work!
Yes, one of the human heads. I did all this a long while ago so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. Also the head files are name differently from the options they correspond to. The reason for the human head looking different is that the textures are default, so the head model will adopt the textures of the options they replace. Feel free to rename the head file from D to whatever, as it will then replace different heads and use their textures. But like you said, who plays humans anyway?
Ahh thank you for response, got it, interesting. I am trying to figure out the files structure overall so that's good to know. Re humans - I was digging in parsed dialogue and they have a whopping amount of 2 race tags in the entire game heh. So yea, whatever, NPCs look prettier now at least.
