Seemed like it was mostly working with Patch 8—until I decided to attempt a respec with Withers. Aasimars in Patch 8 cannot respec with him and are permanently stuck with "choices pending" :( bummer.
For anyone else struggling with this issue, here is a current workaround posted by ratshite:
For those who can use SE: Make a backup of your saves before doing any editing, and of course, script extender console debug must be enabled (see [link] for how to). Open up your game, load in your save file, make sure your active character is the Aasimar you're trying to respec, and then switch to the console debug: press your enter key for script mode and paste [this] script in. Check to make sure the output results look correct; i.e., all the field_80s for Trips_X are set to 0. Afterwards, it should let you respec without having to go through the tedium of redoing your character via resculpt. This is only a temporary solution and will probably have to go through it again every time you want to respec, but it's still probably the quickest workaround, using Script Extender. Also, in case you encounter unexpected behaviour, don't save the current state of the game; close out of the SE console and your game will shut down without saving even in honor mode.
Yes, I can confirm this issue is related to this mod.
With all appropriate caveats, I would hazard a guess that it's related to the choice between the Lvl 1 or Lvl 10 wings option. Current theory is that this selection is being reset when you respec, but because you are not shown any racial options in the trimmed down respec menu, you cannot select the appropriate choice.
Is there any way to turn off the hand-glow? And is there any way to stop characters from walking/running with their wings and walk normally with their feet instead? Moving by wings is noticeably slower than with legs, but I want to keep them for when I use the Fly ability.
Figured it out. Respeccing with a mod to This race seems to cause issues with the wings and them not toggling accurately. I haven't had any issues when selecting this race from the start.
is anyone else having a problem where the wings function as normal but around once a minute the do a fast glitch where is looks like the base of the wing is trying to reattach to the back in a matter of a split second. everything else works, its just annoying to look at every minute. my other playthroughs with this mod worked fine until now.
i am also using the larger man, but i was using this same character before with no issue. i tested it and it is doing this glitch motion for every character style
probably just the new version & patch that does it. you get used to it, i switched from Solar to this one because of the gameplay balance and also the ability to toggle wings on the go.
It's not the mods fault, the wings just don't have a seamless animation loop for normal bodies/animation sets that aren't Aylin's since they were never meant to be used by the player.
I might just be being blind like I usually am, but I cant see the separate addon file you mention in the FAQ to remove the cracks?
Also, this is just a personal preference thing, but is there a way to make the wings from this mod completely invisible? I'm using another mod's wings, mainly because they have a version that makes them invisible in cutscenes and dialogue. I've just started a new campaign, so still getting used to the updated version of this mod from when I used it back on patch 6.
I had the same question about the cracks, and the answer is the "No Crackles DATA" update file on the Definitive Edition. Seems to work perfectly with this version too!

Oh well, next playthrough I guess

edit: I'm blind, found a fix in the comments. you need to select wings again

bottom line, the pros heavily outweigh the cons
