Im having same issue after a few times using that console.. now I cannot write anything.. damn
edit: okay i fixed it, just open the game again.. this time in the main menu just write something on console, then enter your save. console is ready for cmds
Ok, i know this is necro'ing a thread but I had the same problem and this is one of the first places i found while looking for a solution for this problem.
I got it to work by just starting the game from steam not from vortex.
I got this to work with BG3 Mod Manager instead of Vortex by doing the following:
1. Download this mod and extract the zip file. All that's in it is a folder called "bin" and within it is the "ScriptExtenderSettings.json" file. 2. Open BG3 Mod Manager, click "Go" along the top bar, and click "Open Game folder." This takes you to the BG3 bin folder. 3. Either place the "ScripExtenderSettings.json" file directly into bin, or place the bin folder from the mod into the Baldur's Gate 3 folder (it will automatically merge with BG3's bin folder). 4. Start the game and the SE Console will open alongside it.
To stop the SE console from opening with the game: Simply remove the "ScriptExtenderSettings.json" file from your BG3 bin folder. I just placed it back inside my downloads folder. I'm not sure if straight up deleting the file will cause problems, but I doubt it.
