Just an FYI to anyone using BG3 mod manager. Don't add these files to your load order! For some reason when you add them to the load order the game wipes the modsettings.lsx file on game start up. Took me forever to figure this out. Instead just keep them in the bottom part outside of the load order (if you have them in your load order, right click them and then click "remove from load order"). Everything works fine then. No idea why this happened as I've never had this issue before.
What program do you use to pitch shift the voices and what's your process in doing so? If you haven't figured out how to fix the robotic sound to the voices I might be able to offer some ideas and suggestions. Though I don't know what format the game's sound files come in or how to extract them I have edited sound files in general in the past to pitch them up/down.
I appreciate the offer of help and will gladly take you up on it! I edit the audio files using WWise and pitch shift them from there. This usually affects the volume so I adjust that as well to match the game audio settings. I use different effects to try and cut down on the reverb and robotic-ness- also on WWise- but these vary depending on the specific voice and I can only get it to do so much. (I'll admit it's been a minute since I touched this one so that's as specific as I can remember, I'm so sorry)
Would you be willing to add a data only/loose files version of this mod? Every time I use it it somehow deactivates all my other mods :(( (I use the voice 8 version)
Hi! Are you using BG3MM or Vortex? If you're using BG3MM, make sure to leave this mod in the Overrides section below the load order, not in the load order itself. If this doesn't fix your issue, let me know!!
Thank you for this! I've been looking for more voice variations, and this seems like a better fit for some of the many possible characters between/beyond the rather lacking range in vanilla options.
Just wondering, how difficult would it be to make this, or something like it, as an addition instead of a replacer? The only mod that currently does so, that I could find, is Silent Tav. But idk the particulars of why that one works differently.
Honestly, I'm not sure how much more difficult it would be. I'll look into it and see if I can figure it out, but I'm admittedly not very familiar with the particulars of modding so I make no promises
Is this still being worked on? Voice 8 sounds pretty good, I've been looking for a more androgynous voice for a planned character. Will you still be working on the point and click lines?
Edit: How hard would it be to get Rion's voice (or a close approximation?) I've always found her voice to be pretty androgynous.
Yes, this is still being worked on! Point-and-click lines are pretty involved but I'm doing my best to figure them out! I had some computer issues and have just now gotten it put back together and actually functioning so I'll be working on options for all the other voices soon!
I love Rion's voice too! For my voice mods, I pitch-shift and adjust the existing voices to make them work, so I could attempt to shift one in the future, but it wouldn't have the same inflections as Rion's if that's what you're after.
I'm so glad to hear this project is still being worked on! I understand that you couldn't mimic the speech patterns, but I've always loved Rion's tone in general and I think her voice would be a great addition in the future. :)
Nice to have. So hard to make an androgynous presenting Tav even though they gave us a non-binary gender option! I like that you just did pitch shifting on top of the existing voice acting instead of using AI voice generator.
I need an androgynous voice 5!! :3 would that ever be possible, if ur up to it? <3 i was hoping for higher-pitched version, but not too high- if that makes sense aaaa
It's up! Added to the mod files for this mod, I hope you like it! I'll be adding the other voices as well, so if there's another you were hoping for feel free to pop by and check, I might have added it
Really well-made, kudos. Since you're taking requests, can I ask for a voice that sounds not unlike Frieza from DBZ :P? Kind of gravelly, somewhat nasally sitting right between masculine and feminine. Thanks again, excellent mod!
Thank you so so much, I'm glad you like it! I think I could probably get pretty close if I used Voice 5... This is going to be a fun one lol. I'm working on a handful of others right now, but give me a few days and I'll let you know when I've got it up!
It's up! Listed as Frieza Tav Voice Mod. This was as close as I was able to get it, as I don't use AI to voice edit, so if it's not what you were hoping for I'm sorry, but I gave it my best!
This mod is amazing!! my first character was a nonbinary Dragon Born, and ive just created another nonbinary Half-Elf gunslinger and these are exactly what ive been waiting for, tysm!
Thank you so much! I'll be adding more options to this mod as I finish them, so if you have any others you'd like to see feel free to pop back and check, you might find one that fits your characters even better lol
Ive been wanting someting between the very masculine and very feminine choices we get in-game for my Tavs for so long!
If you take requests, would you consider taking some of the fem (?) voices, and making them darker? Or maybe some of the masc (?) voices and making them sligtly lighter? I love the rumbling/grittiness in voice 3, but it's just slightly too dark for use with more fem leaning characters for me personally - so having that one slightly tweaked would be wonderful for my edgelord enby Durges *-*
Thank you so much!! I'd love to do that, that sounds like a blast! I was considering tackling all of the voices anyways lol, so I'll always take the excuse.
How much were you wanting Voice 3 shifted? Obviously fem sounding? Something more androgynous and middle-ground? Let me know and I'll let you know when I've got it posted!

Thanks so much for this mod, by the way!
