Apologies for slow response, I didn't play BG3 in forever and had a little free time, so from me this likely won't happen, I plan to return to BG3 eventually, but I am on new PC and lost source files. But if you want to convert it to wigs, go ahead, that's totally fine with me!
Thank you! Just what I was looking for! I don't have ImprovedUI installed since I use a controller, (tried this mod anyway) and it's working nonetheless. So I guess it's a soft requirement?
Should the Shadowheart hairs have physics for the tail? They stay rigid for me, which is quite jarring when she's moving her head in dialog.
Not sure if it's something wrong my end or just the hairstyles, as I have similar ones from Tav's Salon that work with physics, but I adore the Evil A style.
So I looked into this, and for some reason when I add it to normal bodies, it's not attaching to them properly, it levitates in the air above the head if I try it...So I suspect it requires some further fiddling that's above my expertise. If anyone knows how, DM me.
on the subject of npc hairs, arnell has a unique hair doesnt he? it's like willow tears but a bit different. i've looked around in the files but havent been able to find it. has anyone ever found it?
Looked through BG3 assets and it doesn't contain an unique name, which makes it pretty hard to find (if it exists). And checked modder resources for it, but no one mentioned it anywhere, so the Asset Name for it is likely not found by anyone yet unfortunately, if anyone finds data/asset name for it, feel free to DM me and I can see about adding it.
It's also very possible that Larian used two styles, like Willow Tears + another style for that NPC, something like the Vanilla Hair Mixer mod allows (from horns/beards/etc) slots. For example I came very close to the looks of it by combining Willow Tears + Deva hairstyle, so if you want to try it yourself, get the Vanilla Hair Mixer mod, choose Willow Tears style in Hairs, and under Horns pick Deva, hopefully that'll make it exactly how you want it!
Edit: There's also Tav's Hair Mixer and Silver's Hair Mixer, both do similar like the one I mentioned but for Tav's Hairstyles and Silver Hair Packs, so you can try mixing Willow Tears with some of the those styles too!
Oh wow, good find, much appreciated! Uploaded the version with Arnell hairstyle for everyone. No icon in character creator though, requires photoshop, and don't have time for that atm :)
Not sure if this has been noted yet, but when I attempted to add this to the load order I got a prompt from BG3MM that this shares a similar file name/.pak with 'Vanilla Hair Mixer'?
Maybe something in this mod got borked somehow, but figured I'd let you know.
If I had to guess it's either because both have NPC hair? Or maybe, and this is not meant to be an insult to the mod creator, but maybe they also took that old pack and revamped it to work with modern patches?
I found out why that happens, the IDs were shared by the two mods because the vanilla hairs are same, but I found a way to direct it differently, I'm releasing an update for that to not happen anymore :)
