Starting a duo playthrough with with your Dinamic Wildheart and Syrchali's Druid mods , looks really cool and promising

Could you possibly let wildshapes use rage? This is a thing in "druid perfection" but the rest of the changes in that mod are rather unbalanced.

Also, I can't find any concrete information on whether or not rages damage increase works during wild shape. Wikis have nothing. Only able to find 10 month old reddit comments that are contradictory. Do you happen to know?

Question about Loivatar's Love - you are saying you removed it and rebuilt it through Script Extender. Does it work the same way, including being a permanent buff that lasts after long rests?

Also, is this mod compatible with Barbarian Unleashed? Specfically, the Standalone files for L11 - Improved Extra Attack and Enhanced Auras?

i really appreciate this mod! if you're looking for suggestions for the other subclasses, i feel like wild magic falls off really early and could be improved - buffing the damage dealing effects so they scale with level could go a really long way. the intangible spirit + bolt of light actions feel especially weak, and i think those could also be improved by becoming a free action on the turn you rage, if possible. in the player guidebook, they automatically trigger when you rage, and the change in BG3 felt like a really odd nerf

(my white whale is a rework that's as extensive as wild magic sorcerer d100 table, but i don't expect you to go that in depth at all.)

These are great suggestions. I haven't played Wild Magic Barbarian at all, but in testing have noticed that these actions sharing a bonus action cost with Rage feels pretty bad. I don't have a ton of bandwidth to get around to this right now, but my mods are open source if you or anyone else would like to make a contribution!

Amazing! Could you add a toggleable ability to automatically enter rage on combat start?

Hey, sorry for the delay here. If you're still interested, can you clarify your request? I'm unlikely to add a variant of Rage that doesn't cost a bonus action, because I think that that would materially affect gameplay balance more than I'd like it to, but if you just mean for convenience and ergonomics, I'm curious what you mean.

Barbarian has been a lot more fun with this mod. That being said, I also noticed that I'm doing pretty small damage with the Tiger Heart as an Open Hand Monk. Think it might be 2d12 at most, but my unarmed attacks at this point in my endgame are doing wayyy above that. I was wondering if this was intentional

Tiger’s Bloodlust deals half the damage of a regular attack by design. It’s possible that it doesn’t add Tavern Brawler damage; unarmed attacks are pretty weird in this game, which is why most Monk attacks (like Stunning Strike) use a special Unarmed variant action in your hotbar. I haven’t tried using Tiger’s Bloodlust with TB; I basically just unlocked the skill so that it could be used while unarmed at all.

Oh, that makes sense then. I am indeed using TB Monk, and that alongside the weirdness of unarmed attacks in general is probably why it's dealing extremely low damage. I know nothing of modding nor coding, so I am unsure of the difficulty of this, but would it be possible to add some variables/lines to allow Tiger Heart to work with TB or add in that "special monk Unarmed variant?"

Is this a thing? I can be convinced to undo that change, but it feels overly weak for non-TB builds right now.

although it doesn't trigger unarmed damage buff, it does trigger effects, like the helldusk glove giving bleed, which combos into maim, and benefits from unarmored movement and bonus action attack from monk

that being said, I only played it before the nerf (the prone effect used to ignore saving throws), maybe it's not as good as it was not, either way I guess I just really want to see more barbarian buffs so it could compete with fighter in dealing damage in late game

Fair enough. Version 1.1.0 restores unarmed attack rolls for Primal Stampede. I've been modding too much to get a good feeling for how this plays, but let's leave it like this for now and I'll revisit the balance of this if the move feels too unviable. I've tested with the Flawed Helldusk Gloves and the regular Helldusk Gloves to confirm that Primal Stampede should trigger Bleeding again.

FWIW, I agree with you. Try out the rest of my mods for a few more small buffs to Barbarian overall. I still don't think it's as good as Fighter past 11 (and I don't think I want to muck around with balance enough to really achieve that), but I think the class should feel more fun and dynamic, with a more dynamic flavor. This mod pairs well with Dynamic Wildheart Barbarian & Instinctive Pounce.

Would it be possible to have the type of attack roll change depending on the weapon or lack thereof equipped? With the weapon attack roll version some weapon effects will trigger off a stampede like slicing sword's bleed or doom hammer, there may be even more that I have not tested. Great weapon master works as well. I think the weapon attack roll version allows for some interesting synergies and makes elk really fun to play.

the other guy made it sound like the weapon version is actually very strong, I think he made me change my mind on this whole thing

Yeah, I'm convinced too. I think armed is better. Unarmed builds are already more than strong enough thanks to Tavern Brawler, so I'm not super concerned with threatening balance for those builds in pursuit of making the majority case better. I'll make the change later today!

Could you add being able to rage in heavy armour?

I probably won’t add this — I’m hoping to keep my changes closer to vanilla balance and flavor, and I feel like the inability to wear heavy armor is a quite core detail to the identity of the Barbarian.

I notice when I use the aspect of the animal heart, the animal aspect have all disappeared? What happened?

Can you provide more details about what you mean? I assume that when you say “when I use the aspect of the animal heart”, you mean Rage. What disappears?

Been tracking your work since I came across your gloves of displacement rework, and my friend I can't thank you enough. As a wildheart non-TB enjoyer myself, every single mod that you've put out there is fucking quality, and with well thought changes and implementations.

    Kudos.
