Technically yes, but the base Arcanum is chosen by class so you'd get both. I'm planning an update for this mod once Patch 7 releases that should make it a bit less janky.
I'm using a couple mods to try and bring warlock back to life after BG3 practically destroyed them.
I'm using: - The First Vampire subclass - Invocations Expanded - 5e Spells
I installed the mod right after hitting level 11 and going "wow, these options are god-awful." so, I essentially installed the mod mid-campaign. Unfortunately, whenever I try to utilize the mod; instead of adding a bunch more spells to the Mystic Arcanum, I lose Mystic Arcanum entirely :(
I'm more than likely going to finish the game before I get an update, but I just wanted to let you know about the compatibility issues with other mods :)
It's probably 5e spells at a guess. This mod can have compatibility issues with anything that alters warlock level 11. Messing with your load order could fix it.
I've tried mismatching the load order in all possible ways and have unfortunately encountered the same issue. Either that, or I'm still not doing something right. What load order would you recommend?
I'd load Mystic Arcanum Enhanced below any other Warlock mods. The mod does have to be installed before you hit level 11, if you install it after you need to respec any Warlock characters.
I double-checked my load order and everything appears to be correct, I think it may be a compatibility issue with havsglimt's "The First Vampire" warlock subclass mod.
Strange. Not that it relates, but the First Vampire subclass mod also seems to be struggling with compatibility with 5eSpells cuz I can't get anything past the cantrips to show up.
It could 100% be an end-user error considering I have a handful of class mods, but I felt I did a pretty decent job of ensuring my files were in proper order. Hopefully, Larian is still working towards fully implementing mods with their game and I don't have to use my brain as much lolol
Thanks for your amazing work. Looks great especially on genie patron (like his 14lvl ability in dnd). And is it possible to do it like separate spell without concentration on all spells in spellbook? (like in dnd 5e)
THANK YOU for this mod! I jumped on my seat when saw it. There're so many warlock mods and somehow neither addressed the obvious issue — that Mystic Arcanum vanilla spell selection is garbage. Game almost encourages you to never play pure warlock beyond level 3 at most lol
I wanted to simply have a wider selection, and suffered through various workarounds such as installing "warlocks can learn scrolls" or editing files myself, and finally, you made such an easy solution :D Thank you, truly
It's kinda overpowered beyond reasonable, I think even vanilla select-one-spell but from wider list would be a pretty strong buff for warlock. This though, it will make other spellcasters cry lmao. If not wizard, then sorcerers at least. But yeah, it doesn't matter for singleplayer too much, so I don't mind, thank you again love youuuu
My original plan was simply to add more spells to the list, but then I made my Divine Intervention rework and decided to just do the same thing here.
If you're interested in a less powerful version I'd be down to make it.
Edit: I'm now posting this for the 3rd time because the site keeps screwing up and displaying it incorrectly, hopefully you didn't just get 3 notifications.
Nah, personally I'm not really that interested in less powerful version. I mean, it would be nice, but I'm not going to personally ask for even more unpaid work on your side :D Not until other people ask for this feature too, at least. For me, this mod is great as it is.
Edit: I was caught in the same double-posting trap and don't know how to even delete my comments, sorry about that
There're only two mods that tried to address the issue with Tome Pact. One that simply changes both regular and deepened pact spells to much more solid ones (in fact their pick is so good i would probably pick same spells anyway if they were selectable). And another mod that simply adds 3 vanilla cantrips selection to Level 3 warlock progression, but afaik every warlock gets it, no matter if they selected Tome Pact or not. Which can be annoying if you don't really want that many cantrips on non-Tome warlock.
If we could select our cantrips freely and only while picking Pact of the Tome, it'd be great. I'm not sure what to do with deepened pact though, it's kinda Larian's own invention i think? If deepened pact also allowed us to freely choose three spells, it'll make sorcerers super jealous again. Poor sorcs :D Eh, they can quicken fireballs all day, they'll be fine
OH and also there's an invocation Book of Ancient Secrets which also grants locks even more spells, but again, you can't choose which. And they're not even ritual spells (and you can't upcast them). And this invocation doesn't require you to have pact of tome. In short, drastically different from 5e, where you can initially select 2 ritual spells from any list, and can scribe additional rituals during your adventures, potentially obtaining all of them. So basically it's supposed to be like "Ritual Caster" feat. Well, the 5e version of it, vanilla game version doesn't allow you to learn more rituals.
I think that no one was able to add "requirements" to invocations yet though. Which is fine, not really a problem.
Yeah there doesn't seem to be a way to add requirements to invocations, but I have an idea that might work, I'll find out. I have looked at both those Tome mods, and while they're functional I want to do my own thing with it. I am also also planning a 'Pact Boon PHB' mod which will delete Larian's Deepened Pact and restore Thirsting Blade to the invocation it was meant to be.

And fair enough :)
Edit: I am planning an upgrade to Pact of the Tome, I want Blade to not be the only viable option
