I think there is a similar issue regarding the conversation you can have with the Elder Brain in Moonrise Towers. I could be wrong but it doesn't work with my modded demon race but works for other companions so I assume its because it requires the humanoid tag to work. Is it possible for you to alter this?
Hey, man. I think i've found an interaction blocked by not having 'Humanoid' tag, at least i think that's the case. There is a guy in a goblin camp named Abdirak and you can go talk to him to take your penance and he will hit you several times in the back. But here's the problem. You need to face the wall, so he will hit your back with a mace but the game won't recognize that you've already in position and he will keep you need to face the wall, indefinitely.
hey, think I found an interaction that gets blocked by the lack of a human tag. The cutscene that is meant to play when you interact with the book of dead gods in act one refuses to play on any character I have without the tag but will play on those with it.
im aware, its already been reported by another user lower in the comments - just havent found a way to bypass that one specifically because the tag is blocked by some kind of script I cant access iirc
oh oops soz. thats okay then. I'll just need to find some kinda appearance copy mod so I can take screenshots using my tav. Even downloaded a mod that can add tags to my tav but even then the book wont do its cutscene. Nvm then!
I'm gonna lore dump a bit but here is the explanation.
Tav stand for Gustav. Before the game was called "Baldur's Gate 3" it was called "Project Gustav." This Gustav is Larian CEO's pet dog. Also, Tav character is canon but he's dead, killed by The Dark Urge before the event of Baldur's Gate 3. If you picked a Custom Character aka Tav or other origin characters, The Dark Urge will die instead since he is supposed to be played as the main protagonist, alongside the other six origin characters. But if you picked The Dark Urge, nothing of value was lost, really. Aside from "DnD roleplaying" that doesn't exist in BG3. You could say that The Dark Urge is basically a "Tav+"
Odd request, but could you possibly look into a patch or guide me into a fix for the "Path of undeath" - "Undeath" mods? I have a character im trying to make work using the Demon player race, but im pretty sure not being humanoid is blocking me from being able to go undead and progress the quest chain. Would appreciate any guidance.
Strange question… Can you by any chance produce a similar patch for the Sex Framework mod? My wife and I both play fairies and thought it would be fun to use this mod together along with the new hugs mod to simulate a romance between our characters but the fairies don't have the humanoid tag. I thought this mod would fix it but it seems to get rid of the need for the humanoid tag to pet Scratch rather than add the humanoid tag to these races.
not sure how that confusion occurred because I specify what this mod exactly does on the main page but i'm not comfortable patching for nsfw mods, i'd ask the author to support fey/etc tags, same thing with the hugs mod tbh because i'd rather not edit another modder's code if I dont have to, this mod only touches vanilla scene files to remove tag restrictions
Thank you for this! Could you also check the Book of Dead Gods, from the ruin where you meet Withers? That is another cutscene which doesn't trigger for non-humanoid races. It's minor compared to petting Scratch, since it's a one time thing, but it does give inspiration.
okay so can 100% confirm that its the lack of humanoid tag making the scene not trigger, but we were unable to find where this happens - as its not inside the actual scene files like it is with petting scratch chance its inaccessible to us, so going to shelf this now and take a look at it again in the future
