    thanks

I never used this spell because the tether mechanic was insanely annoying on screen and it just made me barf

now I can cast it like any other spell and get me a double crispy + water spell without having to wait for lightning

Thanks for this. Witch bolt always stood out as odd since there are equivalent spells for all of the other elements (i.e. non-concentration, upcastable variants of cantrips for each element)

No problem :) witchbolt does have its uses but the concentration component really kinda kills it lol

"you can no longer recast the spell, but it also doesnt take up a concentration slot"

What do you mean by this? Is it requiring a long rest before recast, once per battle, or is it like a cleric's diety spell, where you only get one cast per game? o.O

Witch Bolt, when cast, allows you to recast the spell again on the same target it's connected to without using up a spell slot to do it (though it still uses an action point), for as long as you keep concentrating on the spell (which is why it takes up your concentration slot). It does so at cantrip-level of damage so it's not exactly... amazing in of itself to be able to do that, unless you have a very specific use case (like target being wet and/or trying to go invisible)— but even then, there are better ways to deal with that.

It seems this mod removes the ability to recast it for free in exchange for being able to cast Witch Bolt freely without causing it to break concentration, which I think is a fair trade off.

Exactly how the other person explained it. I'll make it clearer in the description sorry

You're fine. Sometimes my brain just doesn't want to cooperate   I realize I should have known this, but I have not played this game in a long while, and have never used this spell, so I was unaware of the free cast. Thanks for the offer, but like I said, I should have known this.

@sicthegamer ...and Thank You for explaining, and not being rude about it. Even though it was on me
