Is this mod abandoned? Just wondering because of Patch 7. Was wondering if it works with it or not. I can't test it yet because my save is broken and this is 1 of 100's of mods I had installed. I've been going through 1 by one and trying to see which works with patch 7 or not. Any update would be nice.
Any chance you could make this a thing only for fighters? seems to me this should be a fighter thing or the other classes would benefit from this way too much.
Big fan of the mod! The per combat version I'd say is pretty balanced, overall. I have an idea for the per turn version, but it'd be more complicated- It would be cool if that could be tied into the "Weapon Master" feat, so that a character who took that feat could then use their weapon skills more. The feat is normally useless for martial characters, but that would make it a useful pick for people using weapons that don't apply to things like great weapon master and polearm master.
The weapon skill "Absolute Power" on non-unique weapon "Faithbreaker" (Warhammer) is not affected, so it still remain totally useless. Please add it later.
Besides, really hope to have all the weapon skills and weapon spells to be used per battle, not restricted to non-unique, since some unique weapons such as "Crossbow of Arcane Force" is unique only for their weapon skill, without any passive bouns on it. The creators of BG3 decided to make them once per long rest simply treat them as trash...
The Absolute Power is not useless at all, but you need to consider when to use it. It refunds upon a short rest which is huge (most uniques do on long rest) and it is a boss killer. Together with other buffs and crits and buffs upon crits you can do loads of damage in 1 hit.
If this is hard for you to digest, you need to consider that from lvl 8, 9 and upward you become already so much more powerful then what the game throws there should be limits and cooldowns.
This mod is great for more interesting combat but don't go telling that Absolute Power is useless, this will only convince me you have no game-knowledge and BG3 is something you are not used to yet.
Now if you want this mod creator to just include Absolute Power because you want to go around using it all the time, then just say so..
unique abilities and spells/spell like abilities were intentionally skipped.
this mod was birthed before i even got to the goblin camp. i assumed unique abilities being uses per turn/combat would drive them to way op. and in some cases, it most certainly does. the goal was to make melee combat have more strategy/usefulness/enjoyment. basic weapon skills shouldn't be a major strategic choice, but some near insta kill nuke or massive cc ability given be a weapon absolutely should.
i got the per battle version and it doesnt seem to work with magic missle for hand crossbow, the spell itself isnt in the spells area so i assumed it would work for it unless im missing something and it actually wouldnt?
