PSA to everyone who wants to use this on GFN, don't enable this. If you do next time you startup the game you will be stuck in an eternal loading black screen. I've tried everything to disable it, namely:
starting up through my own pc and unsubscribing it or disabling it;
tried the same in mod.io;
tried to reset game settings in larian launcher when you boot up gfn;
deleted temp folders on appdata;
was able to keep gfn on when i closed the launcher and tried verifying integrity of files;
Unlinking my larian account from my mod.io
And yet all but to no avail, have to wait till next patch or something not sure as im locked out of playing bg3 on gfn
Update - 08/05/2025: It finally works! Today I just tried again and it actually went through to the main menu.
Not sure what I did but, if it didn't fix for you, I'll give you kind of a list of events that might have led to fixing this:
I've been playing bg3 on my actual pc through steam on a new save which maybe overwrote the steam cloud(got to first "city")
Game was launched in dx11
Upon logging in the mod didn't actually work as it didn't skip the No key press menu
That's kinda it..Don't forget to uninstall this mod and unsubscribe from the mod manager whenever you're able to launch it properly!!!!!
I am in the same boat. Tried everything you tried as well as submitting a ticket to Nvidia support. They have been unable to help. I can see and unsubscribe from the mods on mod.io but GeForce Now simply redownloads them as soon as I launch the game.
Having the exact same problem. I was so excited to start my first modded playthrough today so I just downloaded a bunch of the most popular UI mods through the official BG3 MCM, and I even made sure to only use the ones that had been tested on Patch 8. But this one seems to have broken the game, and since (as a GFN user) I don't have any local files to fix and I can't access the in-game MCM at all, I have no idea how to solve the issue. I guess I can just never play BG3 again? Somebody please help! This really sucks...
I was just able to fix the issue as well! Like Kickfiz above, I downloaded a local copy to my computer, and through the local copy, I was able to turn off the mod through the ingame manager. I had to open the game a couple times for the mod to be added to my local steam copy and downloaded, but I was eventually able to turn it off. Next, I logged into GeoforceNow where I was able to bypass the bug and completely unsubscribe from the mod. I know that not everyone could do this fix but at least something worked :D
If this mod enabled, there is a black screen with eternal loalding logo at startup after "press any key" window. Please, help me solve this problem. All files are up to date and this mod is puted below MCM. If this mod is off in BG3MM - game starts normaly...
What did you do to fix it? I have this exact issue only on GeForce Now but not on the Steam version. Steam version works as advertised. GeForce Now version results in black screen instead of main menu.
I can't get the MCM version working.. I have MCM at the top of my load order and this mod second, only have a few mods. The MCM loads, but not this mod. I've saved and exported the order to game, not sure what if anything I'm doing wrong.
Edit: Neither version is working for me with patch 8
just checked with the latest version of MCM (1.28.0) and I don't see any issues. load order is right, MCM then this mod (in any place below MCM). SE should be up-to-date ofc (which should happen automatically).
Just wanted to give you a heads up that the MCM version of the mod seems to be preventing the actual MCM window from appearing. I kept having issues with it not opening and after trying all of MCM's fixes for the issue to no avail I started a fresh file with only MCM and a single mod at a time until I narrowed it down to this one. This was with the 1.8.9.7 version of this mod, and the 1.27.0.0 version of MCM.
Hi pavelk. First - a huge hearty Thank You for all your mods and continued hard work on them.
Quick question. I may be misunderstanding, but my understanding is that you can have only 1 of the versions installed, correct? If so, Is there a chance to get a version that combines both, the 'MCM compatible' AND 'No PTSD' versions?
While a hilarious response, I'm just curious. Is there a technical reason? Are they each changing the same strings? That said, is MCM Compatibility "required" if you have MCM, or could I decide No PTSD is more important and choose to use that one instead? Thanks for your feedback!
I can confirm that the warnings still exist even when using the MCM menu mod. Both my MCM mod and the special file from here are fully updated (just double checked today). Everything is in the proper load order.
I am using Vortex and the Steam version of the game. Perhaps the issues actually stem from Steam or Vortex?
The rest of the MCM functions work fine. It's just the PTSD warning removal that isn't working right.
I have tested this with only script extender, MCM, and this mod enabled.
Later edit: When using gamepad, the PTSD warnings exist, but when switching to keyboard/mouse, they disappear. I'm primarily a gamepad user, personally, so I did not notice this until now. It's possible that the other people also having issues are gamepad users.
Love this mod for its original purpose, but Ive noticed an odd phenomenon in the weeks Ive had this mod. It has an extra, Im guessing unintended, function as a tattletale on my load order. I regularly commit the sin of adding mods mid-playthrough, like daily tbh, and without fail if a mod is incompatible with the others or breaks something in the game it breaks this mod first. Ive got hundreds of mods in the list and this thing has helped me root out problems before they even begin so many times that I blindly trust it now. I wont pretend to understand why but its a fact that if I launch my game and the "press button" promp does not appear, then the load order is functional and the game runs fine; but if the prompt does appear, something has broken and sure enough if I continue on to open a character save and run around a little I'll find something wrong or even be unable to play entirely- loaded into the greyspace void under the map once or twice lol.
So thanks for this handy little lifesaver. Its been more convenient than I ever could have imagined. As I'm someone who is too lazy to click through an extra prompt in the title screen to begin with, you can imagine how useful its been to me in this regard as well lol.

just MCM has different order of entries in menu.

Again, thanks for your massive contribution.

Is there any way to use the MCM compatible version with gamepad and have the mod warnings also be removed?
