Yeah I tried to use their built in Diamondbane effect and it appears on the item but doesn't actually trigger when hitting objects. I also tried to use the max dice damage effect from storm clerics' channel divinity but couldn't get that to trigger either. I plan to experiment more later
It's available for sale from Dammon in all three acts and Lady Esther near the Gith creche. In testing, it also dropped from Esther when killing her. (I didn't have enough gold on a fresh save lol)
I had a thought, it would probably be difficult to implement but it may be worth considering.
What if instead of having this weapon available at the vendors, it was a reward for a combat encounter. Still relatively early on in the game, but gives a more unique acquisition for such a unique and cool weapon.
The first fight that came to my mind is the bugbear trying to kill the teifling near the looking glass in the emerald grove. But I also think that the warrior skeleton where we meet withers is a good candidate.
Or maybe if you're feeling daring you could create a new encounter with a customized enemy. Just some thoughts
Oh but I did kill Esther a couple times to test and it was always on her body and she sucks anyway sooooooo if you wanna kill someone in act 1 for it take a swing at the old lady :D
Hey, amazing sword, I really like it. Is there any chance you could add the cleave, rush attack, prepare and piercing strike weapon actions please? I'd really appreciate it.

Any chance you could make a fire damage version? It’d be perfect for my dream melee sorcerer build 🙏
If you want to replicate the object crit effect, you could look at the coding for the adamantine weapons.

Also maybe balanced green version (and finesse) of this sword to buy in act one?
Thanks in advance!
